  1. To be honest I wouldn't bother messing around with a new stereo. The poor sound quality is just down to the speakers which are restricted in their range as they are tiny drivers. Why not go to a specialist and see about having some better speakers put in the parcel shelf or if you can get better quality speakers for the dash.
  2. Glad to hear you like your C1. We have done just over 10,000 miles now and just been serviced so eveything is now loosened up properly. I recently did a 280 round trip to Cambridge and managed to get there and back on half a tank of fuel. Amazing when you consider that cost about £15. Fantastic car.
  3. Mine seems fine. In fact I'm surprised that it manages to hold itself in a straight line with them tiny wheels.
  4. Hi Martin Glad to see someone else likes the C1. Fantastic little car. Great to drive and costs next to nothing to run. Had no problems at all with mine (not that theres much to really), and the cheap tax is a huge bonus. Hope you enjoy your car Garry
  5. I do agree, there is no side support in the seats they are quite comfortable though compared to a VW Bora I had a few years ago. My wife isn't a fan of driving in it for a long journey but it saves so much money and we don't travel that much anyway. It depends what your priorities are I suppose. A nice little car though generally.
  6. We purchased a C1 just over a year ago. The plan was my wife was going to drive it to work everyday which is five minutes across town. However, I decided to take it to work, about 40 miles a day, for a few weeks and since then she hasn't had the keys back. I'll be honest, it has zero street cred and the stereo is tinny, but she pulls quite nicely and the amount of money you save is the ultimate grin factor. I do about 800 miles a month which is combined motorway and town driving and I fill up every two weeks which costs me about £26 a time. I'm 6'3 and have no problems fitting in it and have done long journeys without getting back ache etc. Overall a great little car and definately have no plans to change it for anything else.
  7. I'd ask for a discount mate. I spoke to my dealer and he quoted £175 including VAT for the 20,000 mile service and was told I could have a dicount on that. I did buy two cars off them last year though so perhaps thats why but it's always worth trying for a better price and play one dealer off against another.
  8. In my opinion the C1 is a fantastic car. We bought ours as a second car for my wife to get to work in. It turns out I have ended up driving it everyday even though I travel much further my wife drives the C4. I do about 50 miles a day and only need to fill up twice a month which is very good.
  9. I really hope the VTS gets the 190bhp unit as that will be some nice engine. The VTR+ could do with the same 150bhp unit as in the 207 GT. Apparently BMW are building the engines for their cars ie the MINI in UK at Hams Hall and PSA are building them in France for the Peugeot and Citroen cars.
