  1. Some things are plainly 'lingo staples; our 05 suffers from exactly the same bad-eggy problem. I've emptied the contents out and refilled with fresh fluid, (clear, but nicely scented...), and will report back on the results - ok so far though. I had wondered if the car being little-used for a month or so prior to purchase was responsible?
  2. I picked up my 'Lingo last weeekend, (05 2.0 HDI Desire, an early grey one) and am chuffed to bits. It did however have an intermittent resonating rattle from somewhere at the back. Now having had a ZX TD Volcane back in '95 I'm not a complete stranger to the sonic 'ambience' of a French interior, but this was more like the sound of impending structural failure! Off with the interior tailgate trim, and the two plastic mouldings with the air outflow 'flaps' in them were found to be attached only by the single screw at one end; the 2 locating tabs being on the wrong side of the internal door skin and acting like castanets. It's obvious from the condition of the fittings that the mouldings have never been fitted in the correct position...Just another Friday afternoon smoke-break abberation for Jean-Paul on the production line perhaps, but pity the poor first owner who must have endured 3 years of shake rattle and roll. Still, on the bright side I've now got a much quieter car, and an unbearable sense of smugness at how easy it was to acheive. Oh, and with the poking around in the interior I found that it's got the tweeters fitted in the dash - bonus! ;)
  3. Thanks for the information; what do you mean by "a squeeze"; will the original grills fit back over the Alpine tweeters? Do you need to add a crossover anywhere? Seems quite appealling to get both sets of speakers for less than the price of the tweeters alone from Citroen...
  4. Halfrauds have got one on offer at £99 at the moment I think.
  5. I've got a mate who uses a Thule towbar-mounted rack behind a Zafira. It takes 3 bikes and he's pretty pleased with it. He's a serious bike-addict, and the total value of bikes on the back is often greater than that of the car, so I trust his opinion. I'm planning on getting one myself, but have to get the 'Lingo to attatch it to first!
