  1. And does if you had seen my original post on the subject see here http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citro...mp;hl=pragmatix, credit wheres credits due I allways say, not my find Cheers
  2. This may sound daft, but have you tried opening the door and closing it then lock and unlock, this may clear the imobiliser fault
  3. I got mine done at 94K with the 100k service and it was still only £395 that was a main dealer, special rate for older cars
  4. Wearing better than my Michelins then
  5. I dont think that a sticking relay would cause the smoke
  6. I realise that it wont get to the bearings but it should stop water ingress. So where can I find out about the C5 rear axel Cheers
  7. I would like to put some grease nipples in the rear axel i(ts a 51 plate 2.2 with 3+suspension)to try and preserve the life of the bearings does anyone know where abouts these should be drilled, dimensions as to the bearing locations would be good. TIA Pete
  8. Not sure if this is the same thing but I had this on a diesel Golf a few years back, and it was caused by leaking injectors, are the glow plugs burnt away
  9. Have you tried with different CD's mine does it with some but not others
  10. Just a note No More Nails is water based and as such is not good to use in areas of moisture it will fail
  11. The answer is to disconnect the battery and do a system reset, as below. You'll need to disconnect the battery to fix this properly. Here's the 'safe' method - CORRECT REBOOT PROCEDURE FOR BSI Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off. Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition. Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds. Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.). Switch on the side lights through the driver's window. Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality. Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds. Remove key open & close door test central locking system. Start the engine and complete the system's check. Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many BSI related items. When you've done all that lower each window - then raise each one and hold the button up a fraction of a second. Radio, clock, wiper settings etc etc will all have to be reset but that's as per handbook. Don't panic if the engine fails to start after this - usually locking / unlocking the doors sorts that out. This procedure cures a multitude of sins on the C5. Oddly enough I had to do it quite often on my previous car (a MK1) but have nevr hasd to do it at all on the MK2 With Thanks to Graeme Bruce on Yahoo C5 User Group
  12. I parked the car, switched off the ignition and the a few minutes later switched it to position 1 so I could lower the drivers side window, I opened the window by about 6" and sat in the car listening to the radio waiting for the missus, she turns up, I start the car put the drivers window up using the one touch and the window goes up only to return to the open position I had when I was parked. The only way to get the window to stay up is to inch it up, but if I go too far it opens to the 6" position again, any fixes or reset procedures. TIA Pete
  13. Try using saddle soap that gets rid of most gunk then feed it with a leather conditioner.
  14. Also remember that as a new car it wont be running at its best for quite a few miles engine needs to loosen up as does the transmission.
  15. I got quted from indie £500ish just for cam belt, then they wanted £150ish for the service, worth checking with your main dealer there not all rip offs
