I noticed a load of smoke coming from beneath my car (C8 Sx 2.2 HDi 2005) yesterday with a burning smell. I drove a mile today and when I got back I could see smoke coming from an open metal pipe below the car about halfway along next to the exhaust. Any ideas what could cause this and what that pipe is for?
