Ventus pilot

I have a C3 16v HDI. When the car is really warmed up it is stiff to move the gearlever across the gate and it doesn't return to the central position. Change from 5 to 4 is difficult. When the car is cold everything is fine. Been back twice under warranty and they have changed selector cables and selector bracket but no improvement. Anyone any ideas??
