My 1998 19TD Xantia has developed a "diesel knock" when it is first started, if the engine is turned off and restarted twice, then the "knock" has gone. Also when the "knock" is happening, the tachometer initially swings to full scale and back to zero (where it stays). The car has only done 96K Does anyone have an answer please??? I will probably sell the the car whether the problem is sorted or not (hopefully sorted)
