Thanks for that i'll try it this evening, i think i always have a fear of pulling the handbrake too hard ever since i had a bad experience in my dodgy last (very old) car causing me to become stranded up a mountain with no houses in sight and no mobile phone signal :blink:

i just bought a 2005 c3 1.6 diesel sx last friday, i test drove it twice to get a feel for it and listen for any noises, all seemed fine. The car was fully serviced etc when i got it from the dealer but i've noticed now when i'm parked and we're all either getting in or out of the car theres a loud creaking noise from the back? Does anyone know what could be causing it? neither myself or my partner are over weight so i dont think we're over loading the car :blink: many thanks lisa
