The dual purpose display seems to be the most obvious explanation but it's funny that I have never noticed this before ...wonder if it's mentioned in the handbook ......must read it one day. The nearside heated mirror seems to have stopped working now, anyone else had this and is it a straight swap for a new one under warranty. has it become infected with the citroen build quality virus ..............nasty rattle in the rear quarter roof lining as well.....oh dear Thanks for the answers guys Cheers

The oil level display flashed on start up on Tuesday morning and then showed half full.........checked the level with the dipstick and showed it a little low so topped it up until it registered full using the said dipstick. The dash display still flashes on start up and shows 2 bars moving to 3 (half full) after a couple of miles ...10 mile drive to work and still showing only half...........the sump shows full using the dipstick. Really dont want to go through the hassle of booking it into the dealer so has anyone got any ideas.. Thanks in advance

Hi All Hope one of you can help me....over the weekend some kind soul pushed both of my rear lights into the bumper....must thank them next time I "run" into them. I know that they must just push/click back in but cannot get them to do so ....nothing seems to be snapped off so maybe one side clicks in first or its the way you hold it............ any way help would be greatly appreciated

Leaving work this evening a group of pupils were waiting to cross the road....as I slowed to let them cross I overheard one of them remark to his friends........"That C4's a fu***ng Beast" As I am an old geezer of 50 maybe one or two of our younger members could tell me whether I should be pleased with his comment or was he dissin my wheels. Made a pleasant end to a hard day anyway.

Sorry to hear you have had so many problems.............Had mine a couple of months now and all of the initial problems have been sorted out with a couple of trips to the dealer.......... Have developed an annoying rumble from the rear recently (no jokes please) and think I have traced it to a loose interior panel which I should imagine will only take 10 mins when I get round to it.. I love everything about this car...... design certainly gets people looking and what a great sound when you floor it. The spec is fantastic, plenty of room inside and with leather/cloth seats its really comfortable.............great driving position unlike the last car I had.......... 206 GTi awful driving position and was still not used to it after 3 years.

Be interested if anyone else has got the Coupe vts 180BHP

Any and all 4x4s....especially when driven by people using their bl**dy phones..............I would ban them or tax them off the road.

Sorry to hear your bad news and I agree about it being a car that is all too easy to druve fast.....................last time I got caught speeding I was on my beloved Honda 750 .........that was 32 years ago and have been a saint ever since.......well never been caught. What will 6 points do to your insurance

Hi Had a similar problem with the service indicator on my car (VTS 2.0 180bhp).....service indicator would come on after driving about 2 miles and stay on for exactly 22 seconds. It took 3 trips to the dealer and was eventually sorted with a software patch......they said they connected my cars on board computer to the internet and downloaded the patch directly.....not sure how true that ids but it cured the problem....I think part of the secret is keep taking it back until its sorted. Good Luck getting it sorted

Barclays Motors (Warrington) Ltd......... Only been dealing with them for abour 7 weeks and not everything has gone smoothly but as long as you give them a little time they seem to get it right in the end... Besides one of the Owners/Directors who happened to be on site when I purchased my car gave me a deal that made me very happy...thanks again guys. I think we can all be a little impatient when it comes to car troubles

Mine has the standard monochrome display.......... It definately gives a display of an outline of the car with lines showing at the rear .........gives a visual representation of the distance between the rear of the car and the obstruction you are about to reverse into..... It seems some dealers take the car in.... put a disposable seat protector on and a few oily hand prints on the shiny surfaces leave it for an hour and then call you you to say that it's not available on your model.... Does anyone have the number for tyhe Citroen technical helpline if there is such an animal........is this only available to dealers?

Only have the rear parking sensors and the visual display was enabled by the dealer this morning using a software upgrade..........

Hi For those that may be interested I got my car back from the dealer this afternoon after 2 days in their service dept...... Here breifly is what it went in for and what their reply was.:- 1.Parking assistance Visual display......this is now working and I get both an audible & visual display ...this was fixed with a software update. 2. CD muliplayer malfunctioned every time I leant on the armrest with any pressure...............Parts were ordered and fitted (new armrest brackets) ....this seems to have cured the problem....if it happens again they will send the unit back to the manufacturer. 3.Tyre pressures not monitored warning.....this was fixed by replacing a faulty valve/sender 4 Door mirrors do not move when reverse gear is engaged......according to Citroen technical dept this feature is only available on the leather/elecric seat option and not the standard VTS/leather option. 5. Service light came on every time I used the car.....this was fixed with a software fix... So all in all I have to give Barclays Motors (Warrington) the thumbs up although I think all of these problems could have been fixed during a comprehensive pdi. Do we now have a definitive answer on the parking sensor question...probably not....... i think we can say if you own a C4 VTS petrol version you should definately get both an audible and visual display. Cheers

Mine is booked in for tomorrow also ...after the last fiasco they are driving 20 miles to where I work to pick it up.....and hopefully return it Ha Ha..........all because they cannot get the service light so stop lighting everytime I drive the car. I have added a few more probs since reading some posts on this site ....parking sensor display and the mirrors dipping when selecting reverse. Will post back if they get either of them working
