  1. I am looking for a nearly new C4 Picasso with automatic gearbox I have seen advertised an almost new Picasso at a very low price C4 Picasso VTR+ ETG6 1.6ehdi. Could anyone tell me if this is a true auto & not a hybrid type auto I used to have on a C3. What level of standard equipment would come with this vehicle and is the original warranty transferable with approved cars Thanks
  2. Hi My C3 Exclusive developed the rattle in the RH pillar at the top & was due to a loose door hinge, which one I'm not sure I also on a previous visit had a new clutch fitted to sort out clutch jerk & they also fitted a new top engine mount to sort out an offside knocking which they had been trying to sort out for about a year. They only agreed to fit the mount when I pointed out there appeared to be a faulty batch according to reports on early C3's. Will be changing my car soon but not to another Citroen though, I've had more niggles with this car than any other I've bought

  4. Hi It’s been about a year since I last posted. In that time my 1.6 Sensodrive exclusive has developed clutch judder when pulling away in 1st. It’s been back to the garage 4 times & is going in again next week. The first visit the garage did nothing , the failed to understand the problem, the second time they recognised the problem but said they needed to contact Citroen for advise & rebooked the car for another day. When the had it for the third time they reset the clutch actuator which gave a slight improvement but by this time I'd had enough of this garage & decided to try my luck at another garage. They also reset the clutch actuator with very little improvement so it’s going in again. I've also had the dreaded OSF rattle which seems to be a common fault right from the start but no one has come up with a solution, they’ve tried securing the wheel arch cover & replaced a broken water bottle with no success. Any thoughts whether these things are linked, it crossed my mind that it could be a problem with the engine mounts. Has anyone had their 2 year (20k) service yet? How much did you pay, its going to cost me £285 which I think is a bit steep.

My 1.6 Sensodrive is 1 month old now & going for its 1st service this week. So am making a list of things to be checked I too have noticed a metallic twanging sound when going over deep ruts & checked around found although the spare wheel was fairly secure the tool holder in the centre of the wheel is not & able to move about. It bottoms out on the wheel. I have jammed it in & going out soon to see if thats made any difference. Its been mentioned about the under engine protective tray, had a look but don't seem to have one is this only on diesels? Changing the subject should the key lock all 4 doors when inserting the key in the drivers door (the other doors don't have a key slot) as appossed to using the remote buttons. Mine only locks the drivers door & leaves the others open.
  6. Took delivery of my C3 1.6 Exclusive Sensodrive just over a week ago & done about 500 miles so far & am very impressed overall. I bought the car from Dutton Forshaw Preston at a very good price in fact my local Citroen dealer wouldn't even give me a price once he new what he had to better. The purchase was painless with only a quick phone call to place the order & confirm price & delivery. As I wanted the safety pack it meant a factory order with a quoted delivery of 8 to 10 weeks however I had the car in about 6. I arranged a day off work on the delivery day not knowing what time of day it would arrive, just finished my breakfast when the door bell rang & there it was. The driver went through all the documentation then took me for a familerisation run, then dropped him off at the station all before 9.00am. I found the driving position very comfortable & driving in both manual & automatic very easy. In automatic mode I found a bit sluggish but as I am still running in am not really pushing it. I prefer the paddles in manual mode & found by lifting off the accelerator it gives a smoother gear change. This is the first automatic I've owned & it took a little time to stop my left foot twitching for something to do. On only my second trip I dropped my wife in town only to forget that I was in automatic, I started to slow down went to put my foot on the clutch & stopped on a sixpence with the shoppers wondering why I had made an emergency stop. I quickly ushered my wife out & drove off a bit embarrassed. The brakes are very sharp. At first the beeps & warning lights were a little confusing but after referring to the excellent manual soon understood what was going on. I tried to think of some negative points & the only ones I could come up with was lack of leg room in the back & the very sharp brakes. The only thing I don't like is the petrol tank indicator, I would have preferred a dial but that wouldn't have fit in with the rest of the display. As I said before I am very satisfied so far with my purchase & am looking forward to driving it a bit harder after the running in period.
