cheers mate will take a look, the earth which joins the alternator looked like it had a bit of corrosion on will clean this up see if it makes a difference. if not it looks like a new alternator time. its very exposed to the elements isnt it having no under tray to stop water splashing up.

my battery light keeps coming on when im driving my car occasionally has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be its not my battery connections
