  1. That's right. It is the coil pack :P
  2. This is most likely the coil pack on top of the spark plugs. Changed mine yesterday, all of those problems you experience disappeared :P
  3. It CAN be a faulty temp sensor. I have the same problem, will try one day to change it.
  4. It IS the coil pack:) Changed mine yesterday and WOW, it works! Should've changed it a long time ago.
  5. I've got the same problem (Xsara '99 1.6i). Never really done some serious testing about this, but I will try one thing soon. The cables to the doors runs i a rubber loom between the door and the car. I've got a tip that pointed out it could be faulty cables there. I will try, then come with a feedback to you as soon as possible :P
  6. Had this problem too. Just had to replace the green relays in front which controls the fans
  7. I had the same problem! Solution: - Open the bonnet - Dismantle the wipers and both of the plastic covers beneath the windshield - There you have the inlet of air to your ventilation system. This little room has a little hole ehere the water runs when i rains, you wash your car e.t.c. - Clean up there, and thes by pouring some water to see if it comes out beneath the car.
  8. Hello! I've got my '99 Xsara for over 3 years now. My interests in car stereo have grown over the years, and I'm now running my own car audio installation company here in Norway. We specialize in more of a exclusive line of work in our customers cars. We have brands like Morel, Alpine, Sinfoni, Northstar, EVUS, JL Audio on our lists. Since I'm running my own company I wanted to build my car as an show car for the company. The equipment is: Alpine F#1 Status cd-player and DSP Morel Supremo Piccolo tweeters Morel Hybrid Ovation4 midrange Morel Elate 6 midbass Morel Ultimo 10 subs Sinfoni 45.2 for tweeters Sinfoni 45.2 for midrange Sinfoni 150.2 for midbass Sinfoni 150.2 for subs Batteries from Northstar, sound deadening from StP. I will post pictures later this evening. What I've done so far: - Stripped the interior and laid sound deadening in all doors, trunklid, roof and floor - Modified the dashboard to house 4" midranges - Buildt new doorpanels from scratch - Welded a steelframe to house the components in the trunk - Upgraded powercables under the bonnet
  9. Maaaybe I've found out something... It could be the lambda-sensor: http://www.carsurvey.org/viewcomments_review_77143.html http://www.citispares.co.uk/PartsSearchRes...t&offset=50 I will order the lambda sensor and give you guys a full briefing once it's done. With pictures
  10. I've had a similar problem. Everyone thought it to be the servo pump, but turned out t be the (sorry for my bad vocabulary, since I'm not an English speaking person on daily basis) the little wheel-thingy that tensions the belt. Try to take it out and se if it glides as it should.
  11. If your blower don't work at all, it may be the relay for this circuit. It is located beneath the fusebox and is an easy switch. However, my fan suddenly began to blow at full speed and i cannot shut it off  will it help to replace the resistor?
  12. I've got the same problem with my '99 Xsara 1.6 I will investigate this until it is fixed. What have you guys tried? I will check some sensors and try another coil-unit to see if that does the trick!
