  1. Hi there, Is hose pressure and rad. flush going to be good enough to flush the matrix out? Any tips on how to do it and will that even work? It isn't worth replacing it at £400 so does anyone know of any 12v car heater/fans that plug into the cig. that are any good!? most reviews are poor at best. Mike

  3. Thats great, thanks. I take it the 'plunger' type thing in the bottle on the diagram isn't needed? Just the washing up liquid bottle. WIll give it a shot. Also, i noticed the gurgling sound the most when the cooling system is under most pressure (4000RPM or so on motorway) which leads me to think its an airlock. Will post again when i've had a go at that, Thanks Mike
  4. [quote Sorry, not an answer to this! but i have the same problem in that my heater only blows slightly warm even when the guage is reading 90 degrees or above! i bled the cooling system using the valves in case there was an air lock in there but still to no effect. There is a gurgling sound from the heater matrix too so i am thinking there must be a blockage somewhere there or an air lock i cant seem to remove. I hadn't heard about this pollen filter idea but don't see how that could prevent thew heat coming through? surely there would be limited air flow if that was the case. Again, anyone with some info on this would be appreciated, i'm getting sick of driving half way to work wiping the screen with my sleeve! Thanks Mike
  5. Thats great thanks! Sounds like the most tricky part is just getting a tool! Thanks for that will give it a shot. Mike
  6. Honestly how tricky is it going to be? i can get all wheels off the ground and drain it then what do i need to get them off, isn't there some special tool? ANy other way? Someone please clear this up for me! Cheers Mike

  9. Hi there, posted this in another topic string to no avail, really need to know how to sort this problem if possible. I just got an SX 2.0i and Rear suspension is absolutely rigid but goes up and down fine. when driving i basically have no rear suspension at all (head hits the roof occasionally!) its like driving an empty LWB van!. LHM level isn't high and all seems to be fine. not noticed anything untoward with wheel alignment or the arms, is this an MOT fail? Also, ABS light is permanently on. Have got a second hand ABS ECU on the way but will there be compatability probs? Oh yeah, and sunroof is dead, not a fuse and the mechanism works ok when cranked manually just no power going to it. Any help appreciated from anyone in the know. Thanks Mike
  10. Hi there, just got an SX 2.0i and have exactly the same problem. Rear sus is absolutely rigid but goes up and down fine. level isn't high and all seems to be fine. Will check alignment and arms but not noticed anything untoward, really need to get it looked at as MOIT coming up and that says failure to me! Also, ABS light comes and goes- senser? hopefully not ABS ECU but any ideas from anyone on how much for a sensor and ease of fitting? Oh yeah, and sunroof is dead, not a fuse and mechanism works ok just no power. Any help appreciated from anyone in the know. Mike
  11. Excellent, will check and get back to you. cheers
  12. Hi there, any help would be appreciated with this issue i have with my 1994 Xantia. Recently i found that at random the drivers side inside headlight (NOT THE MAIN LIGHT) is coming on faintly when i press the brake pedal! Furthermore, when i have the lights on, the right side brake light is lit instead of the normal light and gets brighter when the brake is pressed. the left brake light is not lighting full stop despite bulb being fine. Any suggestions? is it a relay thing? fuses? or is it a poltergeist? Cheers Mike
