  1. Did you just use a standard citroen to iso converter or one for a multiplex'd system? I presume this is what you mean by the Pug 307 one?
  2. Me too! It looks like it obviously fits under the bumper....
  3. Presumably then, if I were to disconnect my cd changer, I could plug the 9706AG lead into that socket provided that I then have the output from this socket changed at the dealer, from 'CD Changer Present' (or something like that) to classic mode? This would allow me to re-attach the factory fit bluetooth to the other aux port (would rather have this and the ipod connector than the cd changer and the ipod connector!) Must admit, I am a bit dubious as I still believe that on the RD4 head units, the CD changer output is dedicated - the only way to prove this is to have the cd changer present option turned off - I have tried plugging other items into this port before but its then ignored totally; I suspect this is because if the cd changer present option is enabled, it expects a signal from a certain pin in the port. How amenable does anyone think a dealer would be to me asking for an hour to play on their computer with the settings?
  4. I have the "angled mount" for my Ipod, and it has been fine so far.
  5. what about www.showoffyourcar.com ?
  6. The 9706AG is in 2 parts - the part that connects to the back of the head unit has a female connector; the other part is just a standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable, so you dispense with that and use the ziplinq cable instead. BUT.... Now having tried the icelink lite thing, the line out from the ipod is at much too low a level for the RD4 and even with the head unit at full volume, its just too quiet, so I will be sticking with the headphone out on mine. It may be different on a different MP3 player though - but then the icelink is not suitable anyway as its ipod only.
  7. There is only 1 aux port on the C4's head unit - the one that the cd changer connects to is a dedicated CD changer port. This is why when you have the port enabled, there is only the option for aux 1. I have had to disconnect my factory fit bluetooth in order to use the aux port for my ipod, as they both need aux 1. I have attempted to fit the aux cable to the cd changer port and it simply doesn't work. To use line out from the ipod, as opposed to the headphone out, you need to get a cable that connects to the dock connector on the base of the ipod as the line out signal is transmitted through there - you can get a cable like this from Amazon - This one would do nicely, and plugs into the 9706AG lead. The only problem with this is that you can't then charge your ipod - I have just bought this and, although it says for Ford, BMW & Saab, the aux input looks correct, so I believe should work with the RD4 head unit, and if the power connections are connected ok, then this should provide charge to the ipod whilst accessing the line out as well - it also provides a nice tidy dock without having to plug different leads in every time is gets connected! In answer to the question about displaying track names from the ipod to the head unit, this is generally only possible where the ipod is connected to a cd changer input - at present I am not aware that anything is available for the cd changer input on the C4's head unit, although this may change in time.
  8. Are remaps 'invisible'?
  9. The connector supplied with the 9706AG cable will only go into one of the ports on the rear of your HU - although they look the same, they are not (they actually mirror each other). If you are looking at your HU from the rear, the left hand port is the one the cable connects to; the other port is for the CD Changer. There is only 1 aux port to enable in the Citroen software - ignore what the manual that comes with the cable says about 2 ports; thats for a different HU.
  10. I think I have figured out the answers now, so hopefully its helped someone!
  11. Right, have had a further play with this - getting the feeling also that I am the only one interested in this as well! :P On the rear of my RD4 head unit there are 2 block connectors; 1 is white and 1 is black - they look similar but are not interchangeable as they are mirrored in terms of how they connect to the head unit connector. The black one is solely for the cd changer, the white one is for auxiliary input - in my case, the white one is being used by the hands free kit, using pins 4, 10 & 11 (which is therefore, aux 1). The MP3 cable (9706AG) has to be wired to the same pins if it is to use aux 1 - therefore it is not compatible if the factory fit bluetooth is installed. I have tried also, to plug the MP3 cable into the socket occupied by the black connector but with this configuration the 'source' button simply doesn't find a connected cd changer so it doesn't work at all... I think I am right in saying that if you have a cd changer and no bluetooth, then the port for the MP3 cable is vacant and it can be used and enabled - if you don't have a cd changer then the same applies as the MP3 cable will only fit into one of the ports. However, if you have factory fitted bluetooth, then the MP3 cable option is a complete no-no, whether you have a cd changer or not! Also, the 'aux 2' option doesn't, I believe, exist on RD4 head units - there is only 1 aux input, as stated above. I am well gutted about this, to be honest... Does anyone else care? :D
  12. The more I think about this the more I believe that previous things I have read about the cd changer being connected to aux 1 are just wrong.... My hands free will now only work if I have Aux input 1 selected on the HU - if its set to radio or cd then I don't hear anything. This leads me to believe that firstly, the wires going to aux 1 are ONLY for the hands free kit, and secondly, when aux 1 is set to 'Hands Free Kit Fitted' (or whatever it was in the proxia software) its interface with a mobile phone is auto-switching, so that the phone can be heard and controlled no matter which source is being listened to. Can anybody confirm 100% that, if they have a cd changer, its connected to aux 1 as I am pretty certain mine isn't and it works fine. Also, can anyone confirm that have had a 9706AG cable connected to aux 2 and it be enabled by the proxia software successfully? It might be helpful to say where this was, if possible. Thanks!
  13. Cheers for updating the title! The port wasn't listed - only aux 1 was there. I have found the the thread that lists all the options but nothing stands out immediately that implies that it would enable the selection of aux 2... I did find something on the Parkers forum that referred to someone whose dealer couldn't get aux 2 displayed on their computer, so maybe it has something to do with the proxia version?!? Obviously it doesn't help that the dealer I am using has never done this before...
  14. Anyone??? P.S. I am aware the title says mp4 harness - this is obviously meant to be mp3!
  15. Cheers for that, for the moment I am trying to simply get the 9706AG cable working properly, without knackering my hands free! See my thread in the C4 forum!
