  1. My car is 2 years old and I'm an experienced driver I use my gears more than my brakes. My fiat [now my husbands] has never had new disks and its 8 years old. I've been told that it’s the norm on a C2 to replace them every 20,000 miles maximum!! I know its not covered on warranty and I understand there is 1mm left on the disk so its very close to the recommended minimum. I don't know when the pads wore out [no warning light] and the 2 year service 1000 miles ago passed them. [same garage] Its been noisy and the garage supposedly looked at that and said it was dirt in the brakes [again 1000 miles ago] I don't drive round Gatwick but I do know what a C4 is!
  2. How long do the brakes last on a citroen C2!! I've been told that I have to have my discs and pads replaced after 17000 miles and that this is 'normal' as the brakes wear out the discs usually around 20000 miles in not only C2s, but other citroen models. This is my first citroen -and possibly my last...with this type of maintenance cost. i'm used to replacing brake pads with an occasional replacement of discs after many more miles than this. Anyone with a C2 have you had to replace both?
