My colour monitor for on board computer sometimes fails to light up when starting the car. Seems to be mainly when it's hot in the vehicle, but not always. Have spoken to original owner & he said this has been a problem since the car was new. The remote for radio also stops working, so volume can't be altered etc, and when switching off ignition the radio stays on. In the manual it does say that the multi play cd will not work if the interior exceeds a certain temperature. I wonder if this problem could be the result of a fault in the initial set up.
