  1. ha ha, I'm PMSLing
  2. Yo mr T. Spark! Welcome abroad Yes guys, from what T. was telling me the other day, the Rythem is now a "VTR". So bud, you persuaded her yet into adding the secret ingrediant :(
  3. kinda what I thought The VW & Mini have a rep for being "decorated" from the production line. I think a ladybird C1 may get laughed at. Trying to convince the other half not to, and just settle for the ladybirds she has on the dash, and teddy in the center console (along with the delivery of the ladybird seatbelt covers)
  4. Right then peeps, after a couple if opinions here. Our lass has had the C1 for about 3-4 months, and said that she almost bought a VW Beetle before she got this because it was red with black spots in a ladybird theme. She's now thinking of possibly getting black vinyl "spots" to stick on the car (after I told her it was possible ) She's also been lookin for ladybird car acessories on the net and couldn't find much, however, a quick search on eBay by me, and I found these that she wants: Seatbelt Covers Aerial Ball Topper Don't think that would be too OTT on the car, but what about the black spots? Yes or no? I'm gonna do a photoshop when I get some good pics and time. Opinions please PS - Would it be ok for a male to drive the car after it's had a ladybird theme :D

    Arieal

Is there a decent arieal I can get for the C1? The standard one is massive!!! I know on the Ibiza/Leons etc they make others fit, including the Honda S2000's arieal. Is there a recommended one for the Citroen as I understand your usual Max Power/Ripspeed chavy arieals are usually shite! Cheers, Mat
  6. When I read the title, I was expecting the chrome to look a bit "chav", but they actually look pretty sweet.
  7. that's usually my method also ;) best way to spread the cost
  8. if it's not being used why have it on? mine is off. i just like the smooth "euro" look. Low, wide and smooth. Not that that is entirely possible with the C1 lol. Just think it neatens things up a little. Anyway, she want's to keep the badges on. Should hear her idea on what she wants to do. Black vynal circles so it looks like a ladybird  She almost bought a VW Beetle just because it was red with black spots lol
  9. anyone got pics of both the C1 and Aygo lids?
  10. lol she's 8months (to the date) younger lol really like this one tho (went out wi her 6 years ago, started goin out again a few months back )
  11. Spoke to our lass, and she won't let me do this
  12. Does anyone know if the C1 badges are just stuck on or are they like the old Saxo style where by if you remove them, you leave a couple of small holes? I'm thinking of POSSIBLY removing all the badges. Originally I was just thinking of remocing the "citroen" "c1" and "rythem" badges, but if it's possible, I maye also remove the "arrows" on the front and back
  13. cheers fella
  14. I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's possible to get a cover to make the storage compartment on the passenger side of the C1, into a "glove box". If so, where can I get one from? Cheers, Mat
  15. Right then, I've noticed a C1 at work doesn't have the crappy plastic bump strips on the door. At 1st I thought this was maybe due to the fact that it's a newer model than our lasses. However, it isn't. The one at work is a 54 reg, our lasses is an 07. If I was to remove the strips, would there be a "recess" where the strips fit, therefor haveing to go to a body shop to fill, smooth and paint. Or are they simply just "stuck" on, and the doors would be smooth once removed (maybe some sticky residue left behind) Cheers, Mat
  16. So here's the new toy. It's not mine, but the other halfs. A Citroen C1 Rhythem. Nice little motor. 07 Reg with 4,400 miles on the clock. She's had it a month and not gave it a clean yet, so decided to clean it myself whilst she's at work. Overall, the paintwork is it great condition, a couple of chips on the bonnet, a scuff on rear quarter from previous owner and a scratch near the center brake light (god knows how that has got there). I mentioned to our lass that it should have no swirl marks, but all depends on how the last owner cleaned it. There's a few light marks, but as I said, all in all, very good condition. Nippy, 70 in 2nd gear . Quite surprised by it to be honest. Just gonna get summat on it to reduce body roll, upgrade brakes, and hopefully, talk her round to spending £4,500 to supercharge it
  17. I'm aware of insurance issues, cheers. Someone on TOC has mentioned Green Stuff pads and some 15" alloys with decent tyres. Can't believe the cost of insurance goes up with bigger brakes. My mate upgraded his Mk4 Ibiza ones, to Audi TT 312s (IIRC), they charged him more even tho it made the car safer!!!
  18. Rights then, our lass said the other day before I drove her car that the brakes are bad. And too be honest, I thought they were pretty OK, although I didn't take it up to a decent speed. Anyway, she's just rang me moaning again about the brakes. Her words are "the brakes are crap". She says she has too brake earlier than she normally would. She also thinks they aren't as good as the old Micra she had. I find this odd TBH. They're ABS, and being newer, I'd expect them to be better than what she's saying. Anyway, the question is, is it possible to upgrade to Bigger Brakes? I was thinking maybe something along the lines of a C2 VRS or other "bigger/faster" car. My mate has upgraded his on his Mk4 Ibiza FR to ones from Audi TT. I know it's a different brand and family of cars altogether, but is a similar thing possible for the C1? Oh, she's also a Retained Firefighter, so when she gets called out, she has to be there quick. Would also help if she could stop quickly and safely aswell ;) lol
  19. Was hoping the Jap aspect of it was gonna come into play. Nice to know it will be reliable and strong ;)
  20. lol. well i only took it for a quick drive, but we're gonna take a trip to Skegness in the next couple of weeks and decided that we'll take hers, with me as the driver. I love my car to bits, but I really wanna see what hers is capeable of and that should be a good run out ;)
  21. yeah, just (2/3 weeks ago) painted the bumper trim on my ibiza. So should be able to manage this. lol. Bit of 1200 grit wet & dry, primer, paint, lacquer
  22. true, and TBH, everything about the car is absolutley fine for the other half. It's just me. Probably wont drive it much in all fairness, but if/when I do, I want to have a bit of "fun" in it without thinking "is it gonna roll over" ;)
  23. "doh" mis read that! I thought "how can it fit a 106 AND a saxo" thinking of the 10 by mistake ;) Does anyone know where I can get one? here's on on a Aygo: http://www.supercharger-experience.com/toyota_aygo/toyota_aygo_rotrex_supercharger_large03.jpg http://www.supercharger-experience.com/toyota_aygo/toyota_aygo_rotrex_supercharger_large02.jpg So i guess they are available, just need to find one!
  24. no probs. if it's anything like the ibiza, it'll be in spare wheel well or petrol cap. if not there, then will have to get her to dig serviceing book out
  25. cheers mate. Any idea what the paint code is? May have to spray our lasses if she lets me ;) (just managed to convince her to let me fit a Strut Brace - if we find the right one, so should manage this)
