Sorry for not getting back to you all on this - the test drive was cancelled as the demo car I was looking at was actually leased from Citroen and was therefore not available for sale. I spoke with the dealer about the chip and they confirmed verbally that they can dealer supply and fit the chip which gives c. 40bhp increase. As it's dealer fit warranty is unaffected. Cost is c. £400 iirc. The dealer is Barclays Citroen (Warrington) and they can be contacted on 01925 819401. I spoke with Ian from sales and he is happy to field any enquiries. I mentioned that I had posted to a forum and that there had been quite a lot of interest. If any of you follow up on this I'd like to find out what comes of it.
I'm UK based - unless my dealer is feeding me a line they bought the chip (which is Citroen approved), and fitted it themselves. I'll see if I can get some details from them tomorrow.
The car's been chipped by the main dealer and it doesn't invaliate warranty. Apparently sourced from a specialist company in Holland that has a relationship to Citroen racing so I'm told.
Hi all, Just found this forum as I'm thinking of buying a fully loaded and chipped C4 Coupe VTS HDi. What real world fuel consumption should I expect and are there any things I should look for? Regards Ian (Nightstalker)
