Sadly it's been a problem since I bought the car. Obviously I didn't test drive it with the windows open. It does it from starting the car up on a morning until I switch it off again. I can smell it no matter which window is open, whether the tank is full or not. There is no bodywork damage to the car at all. I can't smell any petol fumes under the bonnet nor outside the car when the engine is running.

Has anyone got a solution to a bad smell of petrol inside the car when the car is driven with the drivers window slightly open? Rumour has it that it may be the breather pipes from the fuel filler. Is this a common fault with this car, or am I just unlucky?

I also have a picasso, on a 51 plate, which has a strong smell of petrol mainly on the drivers side. I've had it back to the garage several times, but nothing has been found. I've only had the car a couple of weeks and am already thinking of taking it back and having a refund! Unless anyone can come up with a solution.
