Hi, Hopefully someone might be able to help me diagnose this fault. I have an 02 saxo vtr which is making a rather unpleasant knocking sound from the steering, most evident when parking or approaching junctions at lower speeds. I have searched this forum but can't see any obvious similar probs, i have seen mentions of ''power steering knock'' but no explanations or remedies. Could this be as simple as track rod ends? Any help would be most appreciated. varanus ***update*** took the car to a local garage on my lunch break and they think it is the top suspension strut mounts. sadly i didn't have enough time to wait for a full inspection. now to price these parts...previous owner has lowered the car which the mechanic says leads to the mounts wearing out. who knows!!
