Hi My wife has a 55 reg C4 VTR+ 5 door 1.6 petrol. It has had a few minor problems such as an air-con fluid leak which soaked the front passanger carpet and more recently the entire car displays (radio, rev counter etc) turned off while whe was driving although were fine the next day. The car has only done 15000 miles and is used mainly do drive our 2 year old daughter about safely. The other day when she was driving, the depollution light and warning came on and then 2 minutes later the clutch 'went'. I say this beacuse I'm not a mechanic but basically despite the engine revving normally, virtually no power went to the wheels. The RAC towed us to the service garage who have since looked at it and said the clutch has 'worn naturally' and is not covered by the warranty. I have spoken to head office who do not seem to care but it seems to me that this is not the whole story. Why would the depollution waning come on at the same time, why would the clutch go after 15,000 miles driven sensibly by an experienced driver. Has anyone else had these problems and should Citroen to cover the clutch under warranty?
