Great I will call him on the phone in the morning and explain what to look for ( save me a trip} I take it the sensors are joined onto the ABS loom under the splash gaurds. thanks john

Great, so as far as you know a pretty normal hydraulic system with ABS

Hi all, new to the forum just had a phone call from a friend in trouble. to cut a long story short he broke a front spring reading through the forum I wish he had taken it straight to a dealer ! Right He has himself replaced the spring but found it has broken the ABS wire ! He has called me and said he has tried to repair it But as I am renault trained have told him it is probably a shielded wire he is wasting his time. His other concern is that the brake pedal feels funny now I have asked him to check to make sure the flexi hose is not damaged. He has asked me to go and have a look tomorrow is there anything unusual about the new citroens (I remember old ds and bx models with phnewmatic brakes (spelling) and have steered away from them ever since) thanks john
