Thanks for that techbod! .... I wasn't so worried about the hard to press bit, more the fact it had to be pressed all the way to the floor. I was told this is standard with Citroens and french cars on the whole. is this right?

Hello there... my wife and i are currently on the search for a 2nd hand Berlingo Multispace. Not had one before, but it seems to offer all we are after. Test drove a 2004 HDI 2.0 Desire yesterday, 57000k on clock, good exterior cond, ok interior cond. asking price of £5400. My 2 questions are: -The clutch was hard and had to be pressed all the way to floor. Changed smooth though, and wasn't sticking. Is this normal for a citroen? I'm used to a golf.
