    Mp3 Player

This seems to cause a lot of confusion, many car manufactuers stick a MP3 badge on the audio system when all it really means is that the CD player will play MP3 files i.e. you can burn your own cds and play them. We have a 08 C3 Cachet and it will play MP3 files but has no external interface for an MP3 player. There appears to be no standard for this as others have fully intergrated iPod docks or aux audio input jacks, that all get described in the brochure as MP3 capable! It is generally best to interogate the dealer. MarkTime
  2. I dont want to split hairs but I am a bit worried about how safe 'the new super low friction tyres.' would be! :) The whole stopping, starting and going round corners thing relies heavily on friction, I would rather have 'low rolling resitance' tyres myself. :D MarkTime
  3. I would say it does not, we just bought a Cachet and it is simply the Rhythm with alloy wheels. There is no auto wipe. MarkTime
  4. Thanks for that tip about the alloys, they do have very fine spokes and I can see that they will be a devil to keep clean, I will make sure to do them well and not get too dirty. mark
  5. Hi Robcmar, we only picked it up on Monday and it has not had much use yet, but very pleased with it so far. Something like 55mpg at the mo but that's over less than 100 miles so not a valid test, I expect it to improve when she goes back to work in September. I do want to get some kind of MP3 player attachment but have not looked into it yet, the transmitter type would be good. I don't know if one exists that will take power from the accessory socket and then charge the MP3 player thru the USB? Ours is a Cachet, we were going for the Rhytum but the dealer could not find the colour we wanted so he took the hit on the difference between the Rythumn and Cachet (about £150 for the alloy wheels) markTime
  6. I can't speak from personal experinence but I recently spoke to a friend whose wife has a Pluriel and she has on occasions had probs with the roof jamming, it is sometimes caused by the roof bars not being installed properly after going for the totaly topless look! Like I say I am no expert but it seems that the difference between the bars being 'in' and and 'really being in' is very small but very important. MarkTime
  7. Thanks Eddie, We don't get to collect the car until we return from holiday at the begining of August but I have a feeling that it's going to be a positive experience. Mark
  8. Hi Techbod, I can't see anything in todays market to rival the DS, it is a classic in design and enginering. In truth most of todays cars are just boxes with wheels on, it's just a matter of arranging the engine and styling in a way that suit you best, cost is one of the most significant factors. I like to think the Prius is pretty unique in terms of technollogy but in stying it's a bit bland. MarkTIme
  9. This looks like the place to say hello, I have just signed the papers for a new C3 1.4Hdi (70) Cachet. It will be my wife's car as her 1.8 Focus was geting expensive to run. Parked along side my Toyota Prius we will have two cars taxed for £50!!! :o (VED for hybrids is discounted for alternate fuel to £15). Very impressed with Citroen (never had one before) dealer has been very helpfull the cash back and 0% finance deals are too good to miss just now. ;) :D I hope we don't run into any problems but at least I know where to come for help.
