  1. Thanks, techbod I have just taken it back this morning and informed them that I will reject the car under the Sale of Goods Act if the problem is not fully and finally corrected on this occasion. Seems this is a known problem that afflicted many early C2s, but they have not encountered it with later models. They were in touch with Citroen about it and were advised to reload the software. Interestingly, the problem appeared about two weeks after I bought the car and re-appeared about two weeks after it was returned for the first time. We have always had a good service from this dealer (customers for 23 years and two citroen buyers in the family) so I'm hoping things will be sorted, but I will ring them and do as you suggest. Thank you again.
  2. Hello - I hope you can help me Bought a new C2 on May 31st. (My second - first one was great - no problems at all) After two or three weeks, I started to find that the engine would suddenly and silently cut out at very low revs or when idling at a junction. No stalling - the engine just quietly dies and the power steering dies too, so steering suddenly becomes very heavy. Turning ignition off, then on again, starts the engine again. The dealer has had the car back once and pronounced it cured - they told me it was a software error. It ran OK for 10 days or so, but the same problem has now re-appeared. The car is going back to the dealer, but I am getting worried that I have bought a dud car and am in for endless hassle, since this is an intermittent fault and they were confident they had cured it. Has anyone had the same problem? Any ideas? Many thanks in advance for any responses.
