:rolleyes: Thanks for reply I'll do the fuses checks this weekend. Fingers crossed I find the cause!! ;) Car is '03 reg 1.8 petrol with 74,000 miles. I've had it 12 months, and done 14,000 trouble free miles!

Hi guys My external temp reading has started showing 20 degress plus so is clearly faulty. However, more serious is that twice in the last 2 weeks, I have remotley unlocked the car and got in, only to find when I turn the key there is nothing. No power whatsoever. Both times I have got out, waited a few mins, and tried again, and everything OK, apart from loss of radio stations. What happened today though scared me. I was driving along when the dashboard bleeped, all the warning lights lit up, then everything went dead, external lights included, and then almost immediately all blipped back to life! I'm rather worried now as I have 2 young children, and the last thing I want is total power failure driving on a busy road with them in the back seats!! I've done a few searches, and found similar occurences, but no explanation! Any advice much appreicated before I call a dealer and let my credit card get hammered!!
