I have a c5 2.2hdi auto 2001. I'm disappointed with a fuel consumption of 36-38mpg on a long run. I drive pretty steady too! The car was recently serviced at Citroen at 60k. You will all know that this model is crying out for an extra gear. My car will not go into top until 50mph which means most of the time driving round in 3rd. Also, descending hills it will change down to a low gear very early, sometimes even into 1st! Is it possible to have the gear change points altered in the interests of better economy? I know the gear box is addaptive to driving style but it hasnt adapted properly to my steady driving!! Thanks.
