  1. Hi...DON'T even attempt it...if youo are unsure about the simpler bit of taking the unit OUT, then the minefield that is trying to work with citroens multiplex wiring will explode your head....honestly it's a bloody nightmare as I have found to my cost with my wifes xsara which is multiplex wiring!!! Get an expert to sort it out for you!! steham
  2. HIYA, I know what your problem is....it's absolutely down to the fact that the C2 is multiplex wiring, and it's an absolute ***oops*** to work on!!! This method is supposed to cut down on the amount of wiring, by having various data fed round the car via pairs of twisted wires. Although this cuts down on wiring for the manufacturer, any alteration to the electrical system in anyway causes the car to mis-behave. I am having the same problem fitting a replacement head unit to my wife Y-reg Xsara....had a panasonic flip-out which did the same thing...going in and out on it's own etc. What you NEED to do first before changing the head unit, is to get your citroen dealer to connect your car up to their computer to disable the car from looking for it's normal head unit!!! When I took my wifes in, they connected it up, and they could tell that the car had been looking for its standard head-unit...and couldnt find it...it goes into panic mode. When they have done that, I think you are going to need an ISO adaptor, I got one of these recently on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 I haven't had mine delivered yet, but I have been led to believe that this IS the way to get your new head unit fitted properly. Hope this is of some help, as I have been having a bloody nightmare trying to find information about all this!! kind regards, Steve Hammond
