  1. as the title states - on Friday got into car after not driving for a few days, cleared the snow off then tried the window wipers and they didnt work, ahd havent since. Have replaced the F17 fuse, and am gutted to say this hasn't helped. Anyone any ideas of any other fixes? NB I posted way last year about the engine light coming on and off intermittently - this is still a problem. Could there be a connection between the two?
  2. thanks so much for your replies. Yes it's definitely the engine light and not the battery light. I rang Citroen who said that a diagnostic check would cost £71.50 plus VAT. As I am off on maternity leave at present I really can't afford this, so my hubby is going to bring the car to an auto spark that he knows to see if he can try anything. When I rang Citroen I asked if it could be anything to do with using supermarket petrol and they said it is possible and they have come across this before. They said the light may still be on due to a fault code left over from the job that the other garage did. I forgot to ask them if this engine light problem could result in a bigger than usual consumption of petrol...I seem to be constantly filling the car up!!! anyone have any ideas about this?
  3. Hello there, I am a newbie so please be nice! I have a 2002 C3 1.1. Have recently had coil pack replaced as the car stopped dead and the engine light was flashing...anyway went to an independent garage and they told me that the engine light would go off in a few days following replacement of the coil pack. Well it did go off, but came on again a few days later, ,and has been on and off intermittently since then (about 6 weeks ago) I rang the garage who said that there may be a problem with the fuel and asked me if I bought my fuel in Tesco!!! He said if I start using "proper" petrol, the old petrol should flush out. Well I have filled up a few times on BP petrol and the light is still coming on, the car is running fine - well possibly higher comsumption of petrol than usual, but that may be my imagination! Hubby brought car back up to the garage and they have said I can either let it go for a while and see if it goes off itself, or I can bring the car up and they can strip it down. They have already put the car onto a diagnostics computer and it can't find anything wrong. Am I being fobbed off here? I have looked through the theads and have seen similiar problems but these all refer to the fuel injectors, I have not been told that there is a problem specifically with this? If they strip the car down I don't trust them not to find all sorts of other problems that need rectified. If anyone can give any advice it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
