Many thanks John, I just wondered if the tensioner was changed as a matter of course after 115,000, but I'll obviously have a close look at the tensioner and if any doubt I'll change it. Cheers

Could someone advise me please. I have an 1998 Xantia 2.1D Exclusive and am going to change the cambelt, drive belt and water pump at the weekend. I have all the equipment to do the job, and have done it before on a 1.9D. The car has done 115,000 miles. Would you advise that I change the tensioner while I'm at it ? Just because I'm paranoid don't mean there's no one after me !! Cheers in anticipation, Bob
