Thanks, how much will that cost at a garage to fix and is it still safe to drive?

I have a Citroen Xsara MK 2 and when I pull away when turning right I get a slight, a slight knocking noise. This mainly happens when I lift the cluctch quickly. The question I am asking is one of my CV Joints or something going or is it just a normal noise. If I do the same action when the car is straight I have no problem. Bouncing up on down on the front wheels also makes no sound. I had the same problem before and replaced the passenger (left-side) CV joint but unlike before I cannot feel anything wrong (any shocks) in the steering or in the car. Also to get to work I have to go over very steep, sharp speed ramps (thin rubber type) which do really shake the car and whilst going over them I hear no strange noises. Any comments? :unsure:

Thanks for letting us know. The manual does say that (according to spec) but I thought with the display looking the same as the one mentioned would of ment that it would of worked the same. Thanks anyway. Davidleeis14

Hi, first post so be gentle! Just a quick question! I have a Mrk2 2001 Citroen Xsara 1.4L. I have upgraded the Cassette to an OEM Cd Player. The player and radio work fine but in the instruction manual (for the car, not the radio) it says that the Multifunction Display (the one above the radio) should display the temperature and this can be displayed by pressing the end of the wiper stalk. On the actual car though there are no buttons or anything on the stalks and another thing the steering wheel mentioned in the manual is not the one on the car(i.e. controls on either side of the wheel) instead it is a standard steering wheel with audio controls behind it on a joystick. I was just wondering how do you get the display to display the temperature instead of the time (also the display does not show the CD playing time as stated in the manual) and why is it that several items in the manual don't tally up with the car? BTW the temperature did not display before I upgraded to the CD. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks, davidleeis14 Happy Christmas
