Hi, I have exactly this problem on an 04 Model, did changing the suggested component fix the problem.I have had a look down by my left hand leg and find a buncj of components down there, I found a device with an aluminium heat sink attachedv that projects into the fan airflow for cooling - is this it , It has two green electrical connection blocks. It is clearly not related to the control panel as with this removed from the car the fan still runs at full speed. rgds Adrian Covill

I have tried all combinations.No good. fan comes on when I start up.Everything works heating/coolness.Apart from the fan being on and the speed. I have had another reply which states that this is an electronic fan control part failure and is found in the heater box on the drivers' side and will cost about £45.00. I just have to find REASONABLE labour costs now! Thanks again.
