    Mp3 Player

I spoke to Halfords about changing the cd player for one with an mp3 socket. They said it could be done, but I would lose all the info currently displayed - so I wouldn't be able to change the clock time, etc. You can get round this by having a cable fitted to the existing cd player, which gives you an ipod socket, but it's about £110 before fitting. I've tried two kinds of transmitter, but the sound quality has been pretty ropey.
  2. The spring in my key fob seems to have lost the will to live. When I pressed the little silver button the business end of the key failed to swing out at all, leaving me with no way of starting the car. I found the other key, in which the spring also seems strangely less than enthusiastic, although the key does come out. Back home, I managed to coax out the first key with a screwdriver, but the spring is clearly unhappy. This is a nuisance, since I now have either an awkward undocked key in my pocket, or worse, one that has docked itself and refuses to come out again. The car is just under two years old, and the keys have not seen that much action. Any ideas?
  3. I've figured it out now. I should have tried plonking the whole thing on before asking the question. Just in case there's anyone as stupid as me (unlikely, I know) the answer is that it clamps just above the door, not on to the bit by the rubber seal.
  4. Thank you. After 27 years with a faithful 2cv this is all a very steep learning curve for me. I don't suppose you can figure out roof bars, too (adjacent thread)?
  5. CAN? EOBD? Blimey, it's all double Dutch to me. I'm only capable of the basics, so I'll hope those remain the same. Thanks for the info.
  6. I see the Haynes manual for the C3 only covers 2002-2005. Is it worth buying if you have a 2007 model, or were there significant changes?
  7. I have bought a set of (non-Citroen) roof bars in readiness for getting the Christmas tree home. To fit them, do I need to remove the rubber seal that runs the length of the roof? Is it just held on by clips? Thanks for any help with this.

    Wing Mirrors

Ah, I've probably been bamboozled by the user guide covering lots of models. Mine's a Jan 2007 1.4 petrol Desire, and I can't get the mirrors to flap no matter how hard I try.
  9. Am I right in thinking that the mirrors are supposed to fold in automatically for parking, using the same twiddler as for the mirror angle adjustment? It gets a bit dreary having to do this manually every time.
