hi guys, this xantia of mine i brought from an auction and had it simmobilizer disconnected when i bought it. now last few days its giving me grief. when i try to turn it on it it wont start. most of the times there is a faint noise before starting and whe the noise comes up it starts. if the noise is not there enjine wont start. other day it happened to me, i called the recovery. the guy tried and could not find anything. then he towed te car to my house. after coming to my house i tried to start it again and it started fine. trust me i have tried everything i know (not much) like checking for loose connection in the engine, fuses, loocking ang unlocking again and again. nothing worked. Pls guys help needed urgently. :o After buying the car all i did is install a pioneer cd/mp3 player. DJ

hi ...thanks for the answer that i got before..i have now solved the keyfob problem by replacing the batteries..it works fine..i bought this r reg temptation 2 from an auction. the keypad imobilozer is disconnected. now, when i remotely lock the car shouldn't it blink the indicator lights...?? is it not normal for any car .. mine doesnt...is it because the imobilizer has been disconnected...? is there any other ways to have it indicate that its locked other than listening to the door locks..?? help pls...thanks.. thanks mate.....good to know that immobilizer will not affect the remote central locking..i will leave the immobilizer aloneas you advised.... i opened the keyfob and checked inside..it was dirty...cleaned it and set it inside nicely..the switches work...the red light blinks...but no response from the car itself....the led in front..is there anyway to test it....even thought eh red light blinks do u want me to change the batteries..it would be great if i could make the remte locking work... hoping to hear from you... thanks again..

Hi, i just bought a r reg xantia temptation 2 hatch from an auction. First i found the keyfob isnat working. so i opened with the key and then found there is a keypad but not working. and the stereo asking for code. the car starts and all electric works. now, my understanding is the battery was disconnected and as a result the keypad immobilzer had to be diconnected for the car to be started. can anyone pls help me on this. i need to know if the immobilizer can be connected and the remote keyfob will work. i am going to change the stereo anyway. so no need to bother about it. waiting... DJ
