  1. Hi, The Desire spec seemed to be the ideal one for me, as it has the manual aircon, cd player, foglights, armrests etc., which I had on my Berlingo Desire. The Exclusive model seems relatively rare and has gadgets which I don't really need too. I'm gradually adjusting my driving style to suit the low reving diesel engine, having not driven one for about 15 years......And having adjusted the slack out of throttle cable, it's performing quite well too! I don't know if the mpg readout is accurate, but it's much more economical then the Berlingo as well! Cheerz.
  2. Hi, It's a 2.0hdi Desire 2 model....I could have gone for a newer 1.6 hdi and even considered getting a pre-reg. VTX or Desire model, but decided to just get a slightly newer reg than the Berlingo, but with a lower mileage.....At 18.5k miles it's barely run in yet! The money I've saved will go towards replacing my Nissan 300ZX, which I sold before Xmas. Cheerz.
  3. Hi, I didn't get as much as I would have liked for my Berlingo, but then if I had sold it privately, it's mot was due this month and it needed new front tyres, dics and pads. Also I would have had to replace the windscreen, as it had a couple of large stone chips! Another Citroen dealer offered me about £500 more in part exchange, but his car was about £1k more anyway!?? You must drive with a very light foot, as the best I ever got from my car was 34mpg!...often it would dip under 30mpg! :) The Picasso hasn't the personality of the Multispace or as much storage space inside, but it drives quite well and it's nice to have a change after 4 years! Cheerz. :(
  4. Hi, Well the Berliingo was coming up to 4 years old and 57k miles, so I decided to trade it in for a used Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi with 18.5k miles on the clock. The Berlingo was a faithful workhorse, which never let us down, so I was sorry to see it go, but my daily commute was getting too expensive with the petrol engine! Might return to the Berlingo fold when the new model is fully on stream and they're offering the usual discount incentives! Cheerz :(
  5. Hi, I drove through a particularly deep puddle in my Blingo and it resulted in the fasteners which hold the wheel arch trims in place, disappearing, so the trims were loose....But you said you've checked them? It is possible to damage your catalytic converter if your exhaust is hot and you give it a sudden drenching in cold water!...I did this to a Vauxhall hire car once and the result was a horrible noise from under the car afterwards, which I negated to mention on return of the vehicle!:P
  6. Hi, We've taken our Berlingo to France for a couple of fortnight holidays and although we haven't really driven at night, we have driven in the early morning and evening light and during rain storms, without using headlamp bean deflectors. I simply adjust the headlights down to their lowest setting and have never been flashed by on coming drivers at all!...I think most drivers assume you're French anyway, driving a Berlingo!
  7. On the contrary, both we and our in-laws bought new Berlingos at about the same time in 2004 and haven't had any real problems. The only fault when our car was still quite new, was the dipped/main beam switch failed and it was subsequently replaced under warranty, without question! Cheerz
  8. Hi, Good find!...Any news on UK prices yet????
  9. Quite like the look of the new Blingo, but the sliding door runner arrangement could have been a bit neater...Now looks like a cross between a Kangoo and a Roomster from the side! The way that the door runner slides under the side glass on the current car is a very clever visual touch! Cheerz
  10. Hi, They will need to keep the prices reasonably low, or the Berlingo will lose it's value for money appeal! If they're going to run the old model alongside, like they have with the Xsara Picasso, then that makes me think that the new prices will be a fair bit higher! Cheerz.
  11. Hi, That's the same as the new Citroen Nemo....A smaller vehicle than the new Berlingo! Cheerz.
  12. Hi, Sounds like the comms 2000 unit needs replacing....A similar thing happened to my car. If you're still under warranty then Citroen will replace it, otherwise you're looking at some expense! Cheerz.
  13. Front Quarterlights?
  14. Hi, Just found these photos too!...... http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3732/ber1ak4.jpg http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/2360/ber2cv7.jpg
