  1. I love my Pluriel  I've not had any problems with it, and have stopped looking for leaks because I can't find any! I bought my 1.4 new for about 9500 which I regard as a very good price for a four-seat convertible with room for three adults, a baby seat in the back, and space in the boot for a pram and the week's shopping.
  2. I do agree with Richard that this forum will attract postings from people who have had bad experiences and who understandably wish to share them with others. It probably distorts the true picture to some extent. I am perfectly happy with my Pluriel (from the Hartwell Citroen garage here in Bristol). I doubt that it would stay dry if attacked with a pressure washer, but then again I doubt that many convertibles would. My requirement is that is stays dry (inside) on the motorway in almost zero visibility in torrential rain - and this it does. I think a prospective buyer should inspect their new car very carefully before handing over the balance of the purchase price - I was given the oportunity to do this - check that all the seals seem to fit, that the windows line up nicely and that there is good firm contact between the seals and the side windows. Check all the electrical gadgets too and that the roof slides freely and fairly quietly. Proceed with caution (I put some of the balance on a credit card to give a little extra protection), but the good 'uns are terrific little cars. Ian.
  3. I'm pleased to report that despite some torrential downpours, my April 2004 model does not leak. The tubular seals over the side windows used to look a bit moist in heavy rain, but a smear of silicone grease in the overlap has completely cured that. The arches have been on and off a fair bit too. However I wouldn't want my Citroen Garage fiddling with the roof. It works fine and I'd like it to stay that way!
  4. I haggled my dealer down to 9.5k for my storm grey 1.4 (including the extra 300 for met paint), so, yes, any depreciation calculation has to be based on the real purchase price, which is certainly not 11k. I have to say I'm very happy with my Pluriel. The arches have been off whenever the weather permits however with the roof erected in torrential rain, only ever let a tiny bit of water seep in - this I think I have cured with a discrete smear of silicone grease in the overlapping join above the side window (do not use vaseline, folks). While I love my Pluriel and wouldn't swap it for anything else on the road, I do feel for the people with persistent problems though.
