  1. It's the 92hp 1.4 16V Hdi engine. The totalcost of the job is over £400 as the injector costs over £200. It has just been completed and the problem has clearly been solved for the time being. However there are two original injectors still there and I hope these will prove to be more durable otherwise I will be faced with a further large bill. The Citroen dealer is talking to Citroen UK to see if they are prepared to make a concession over the price of the work. If they don't I'll deal with Citreon UK direct and if this is a known problem it would help my case.
  2. After 59000 miles completely trouble free motoring in a 03 registration Exclusive two injectors have failed in rapid succession. These are expensive to replace (the parts are over £200 each). Is this a fault that has been experienced by others at this sort of mileage which in my view is too early for such fundamental items to fail. I have had many diesel Citroens in the past including a Xantia which was still running well at 140000 miles although that engine was an older design. The Hdi engines are exceptioanlly frugal but any cost savings soon evaporate if expensive work of this kind is to be faced at this mileage.
