    Spare Keys

dont know if it aplies to you, coz dont know how old your car is or how far back this system goes, but when I got my car brand new I was given a card and told to keep it safe coz if I ever needed a new key they would need that card for the code. "A confidential card is given to the new owner when he takes delivery of his new vehicle. this card bears a hidden access code for the use of the citroen dealer when servicing the electronic immobiliser device. If any key modifications become neccessary (addition, cancellation or replacement of the key) it is essential to take the confidential card together with all the keys to a citroen dealer" sorry cant be much more help than that
  3. great, I'm not going mad after all! anybody know if the guarantee covers this, and if not, any idea roughly how much it is gonna set me back? (got no space and not technically minded enough to do it myself. or I suppose I could just wait another 8000 miles and see if they can sort it out for me at the 20000 mile service ta
  4. wonder if anyone can help as I am gettin nowhere with the citroen uk site, parked my car in morrisons car park the other day and some numpty with a shoppin trolley walked straight into it leaving me with a lovely scratch. does anyone know if citroen stock the scratch pens for pearlised iron grey? tried the halfords site but no luck there, they have turtlewax scratch remover but have heard that stuff is worse than useless! ta.
  5. hi guys, just found out that dixons that owned the citroen dealership that I got my car from have sold it on to Evans Halshaw, and Evans are now in the process of liquidating all of their stock. Is this gonna cause problems if I get any problems with my car or when a service is due? can I still take it in to the same place? Dixon never even thought to let customers know that they were scarpering, only found out when I drove past the place and saw the sign outside. I have never had any experience with dealers full stop before now, so dont know what to expect. does anyone else have any notion as to what happens next? ta
  6. I must admitt I liked the SX too ( even though that particular car was driving me to distraction with all the problems that kept popping up) but after a word with the dealer I found out that there were no SX's in the country and it would be six to eight weeks to order one in, asked about the VTR too, and same goes for that one. (If I had got to the dealers a bit sooner it would have all worked out, missed the last sx in the country by ten minutes gggrrr) so in the end went down from a 1.6 sx to a 1.4 desire, but cest la vie, at least this one WORKS! no more slipping out of gear, no more suspension probs, no more central locking f**kin up and lockin me in the damn car!
  7. traded the sx in for a brand new 07 c3 desire, dont wanna jinx it but suspension on this one seems alot better, took it out on country lanes in the rain this evening and it held to the road fine, dont know how it's gonna react on sheffield roads, but I was having a fair few other probs with the other car too, think it was just a case of buyer beware on second hand cars, dont know how that car had been treated before I got it, the only wobble I got with this one was in the middle of an emergency stop, the ABS kicked in which was an experience that I have never had before! lol
  8. does anyone else have this problem? especially when going around corners or when on an uneven road, the rear tyres are slipping, and the back end feels like it is all over the road :) I have had a good look at the tyres, and there is nothing physically wrong with them, they look almost brand new, and the car isn't exactly ancient either (56 plate with 2000 miles on the clock) is this something that can be solved by whinging to the dealer, (a problem with those particular tyres) or is it a problem inherrent to the make, that I will just have to put up with? ta xxx
  9. I can only speak for my model (C3 SX) but the dimensions are Height 23.5" (104cm if u r metric), width 41" (60cm) and depth at the widest part (bottom) 27" (69cm) and at the narrowest part (the top) 14" (36cm) If it helps I have a small child and have no problems getting his pushchair in the boot, it is bigger than our previous car (Vauxhall Corsa) xxx
  10. sorry to disturb, but have just got a '56 C3 sx, and can't for the life of me work out how to lower the driver's seat (figured out how to raise it, just pull the handle on the seat, but doesnt seem to work both ways) probably just me being a ditzy blonde, but i could do with it being remedied, the seat is too high so clutch control is proving a nuisance! :) thanks xxx
