  1. Mine (04 1.6) has a space saver spare wheel. Even the Citroen salesman tried to tell me that it had run flat tyres, but a quick poke around in the boot revealed the truth. The tailgate hinge and boot false-floor seem quite high, so I think we've given up boot space in order to retain the spare wheel, rather than the other way around. Of course, we can always put the roof up and leave the plastic boot cover thingy at home if we need to use that space for luggage. I'm not sure that any production Pluriels have ever had run flat tyres. Could it have been a feature of the prototype that never made it into production, but which didn't get removed from the press pack? A Pluriel without a spare wheel well could perhaps have been given a deeper boot, but only if the folding mechanism could have been redesigned to stow the rear screen at the greater depth, so I can't see this being a last minute change to the design. Given that there's space for a spare wheel in the current car, why would Citroen choose not to supply one? Run flat tyres must be more expensive, aren't they? What other use could they make of that space? A bigger fuel tank perhaps, or a specially designed 15" custom picnic hamper? :-)
  2. I've only had my Pluriel Sensodrive for just under a month, but so far I'm pleased to say that I don't recognise very many of lesw's problems. Astonishingly, everything seems to have remained watertight though the recent rainy spell. I do get water pouring down the windscreen as I set off down the hill in the morning, but it seems that that's normal. They seem to need a good hard slam in my car. When the boot cover is fitted they're particularly reluctant to lock. I've been finding it a bit tricky to get used to the Sensodrive for low speed manoeuvres in 1st and reverse. It seems to require more revs than I'd normally choose to use, just to keep the clutch engaged, and I often come to an inadvertent halt just trying to reverse on/through our gravel drive. I can see how this could be quite alarming if it happened on a slope. I think this is just the way it is though, not a fault with my car. Do you think I'm describing the same problem? Steve.
