thats it spot on, driving with care no noise but drive it hard the noise is a bit like a turbo charger kicking in, i notice that if you keep to the limits its ok, mind you its a great sound when pushed, i dont mind this as i am a bit heavy footed my wife keeps on reminding me its only a small engine but for a small car its very nippy and i do like to be a bit of a boy racer......... by the way im 60 years old, and in my youth used to drive a mini cooper (s) and the noise from that with a flat top air intake on the engine you could not have a conversation never mind hear the radio .

no, checked today, when driving normaly ie no foot to the floor its not there its only when you push the revs up

hi just joined, have owned my c1 airplay since march 2007 up till now every things ok just had to wd40 glass hatch hinges and have an annoying creak on the drivers seat, will have to sort it out on the intrim service , the thing is when pushing the engine, when changing up at speed there is a sound like a turbo charger kicking in when you dip the clutch to change gear (every gear) disapears when gear engaged. is this a nomal sound, my wife says its the same sound when i did a test drive before buying the c1 i have heard that it is a noisey car it dose not bother me as it sounds sporty but just in case im missing some thing
