I picked it up tonight - great car, very nice handling and the engine isn't as noisy as some reviews say for a diesel. It feels very firm and well made. I phone the previous owner and she was getting 84 to the gallon on long runs, I hope to have it for a long time! See you all on the forums.

I know what you mean, it's totally personal reasons - I've always had diesel and can't stand driving small petrol cars any more. I did have a test drive, but this deisel C1 reminds me of my old trusty deisel Citroen AX from when I was 17. As I say, I know completely what you're saying, but it's completely personal choise.... as you say though, I will love it :lol:

After test driving a C1 and sitting in what seems like hundreds of other cars I have to say I find it the best. I'm looking at purchasing a black 1.4 HDi Rhythm today or tomorrow. I wouldn't buy another Peugeot as my current one has been poor quality from the start, and the Toyota's dont have such a nice front in my opinion. I do fairly long trips, work is a 40 mile round trip but I tested it on the motorway and I feel that I can live with the ride and being a diesel engine it should hack this pretty well. It just seems very good, basic, no fancy gadgets to go wrong, the saving on running costs comapred to my 1.9D 206 is immense, and I'm a 23 year old male - I don't think it's girly at all :lol: Hope to chat to some of you on here, Simon
