Hi The rear tyres are roughly 3 months old and they are 195/65R15 91H. Front tyres are in good nick, with still a good grip on them. All four tyres are fitted onto alloy wheels. They need a good scrub. I have two tyre pressures missing as they cost a fortune to replace. Boody work is good. I can supply photos if required. Rear drivers door wont open, i think a spring or link my have come loose as garage fixed it but stopped working. Recently replaced exhaust from front to rear box in last month (£286). New coil pack fitted (£180) The car is fitted with a 6 disc cd player which is situated under driver seat. It does not have a sat nav fitted. Lights are all working no cracks or scratches or chips in glass. Interior is in good condition now holes. Its cloth interior. I would be looking to sell the car in one go, not just parts. I thought i would see if any one on this forum was interested befpre i put it on auction site. As said before i know timing belt has gone but not sure what damage it has caused to valves or anything else, as not had anyone to investigate. I have a C5 HPI Exclusive 2.0 on 01 plate (Y). Going for spares or repairs. The timing belt has gone on it and not sure what damage it has done to engine, as never had it checked. It has a 11 MOT left on it. 2 new rear tyres, new exhaust fitted. If you want any more infor drop me a line.

Hi. I had same problem with mine, i have put my thread in fixes and problems. I went to local garage in North East called Centreville. They did it for nothing. I think it's an easy job, but as i am not mechanicaly minded wouldnt want to try it. Its a common fault for steering wheel to come off on a C5, mines 01 plate and if it went for MOT it would fail. Sorry i couldn't of been any more help.

Thanks Ronin. Think will try and sell parts as i bought car for 2600 and dont think id get much for it if it was working. The body work and intoerior are mint so think will get good price for items. If you know any one who needs parts gis a shout. Just put a new £280 exhaust on it, only a month old. Thanks for all your advice.

Thanks Ronin for your reply. Got a local garage in Byker called Centreville, who deals in Citroens. He tightend up steering wheel for my for nowt. Nice man. He then gave me bad news that steering rack needs replacing and would be looking at good couple hundred quid for work, and that my two front struts were leaking. Not leaking bad but MOT might fail due to it. To cap it all off my timing belt went this mornig, and nearly fainted when was quoted two prices £500 -£1000 to fix. Think i will send it to when all french cars go when they have had it. Thanks anyway. Big Dog

I have a C5 HDI Exclusive on 01 plate. I have noticed that when i reach certain speeds 60 -70mph, the sterring wheel shudders like a bitch. I have now noticed that i can grab steering wheel and wobble it from side to side and top to bottom. Feels as if its going to come of in hands. Ihave been told that this is a comman fault with this age of c5. Any ideas? Also rear drivers door wont open, severe clutch judder. Think i'l get rid of it. Any one want it ? Regards Big Dog

Hi All. Please can someone help with a few issues i have, it would be much appreciated. I have a Citroen C5 2lt HDI Exclusive. 98000 on clock. Y 2001 reg. 1) Rear passenger door behind driver is will nor open. It will not open from outside or indside. If i have to take off door panel how can i do this when door is shut? 2) I have just started to notice a loud squeaking noise from rear suspension. I noticed this when i sat on rear of vehicle when boot was open to change my shoes after a walk. I am at my witts end with this car. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Wayne.

Hi mac. I am having same problem. I have had whell alignment checked and pressure and brakes checked. Mine wobbles like a bitch at same speed as yours. Recently i have found out that there seems to be a common problem with C5 steering wheel, i.e comming off. I took mine to garage and said that if you grip steering wheel and push and pull it side to side top to bottom and if it has moves, then sterring wheel bolt needs changing or tightend. I believe it is a factory fault and it should fail MOT. I am taking mine into garage soon to get it rectified. Hope this helps

Hi. Having few problems with car. Just changed sparkplugs and new coil pack (£140). Before change i wasn't getting much power when puttung foot down and there seemed to be a misfire. After change there was little improvement. This week Antipolution fault and enging lights came on. There was a misfire. I turned engine off then started engine up and revved it a little. Got rid of fault and engine lights. Still have what feels like a misfire and not much power when changing gears or putting foot down. Has any one got any ideas or has anyone had any similar problems.
