  1. My estate does the same. Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
  2. Thanks for the replies. I also didn't know about automatic lights. I'm usually the first to put lights on anyway, so not as much benefit for me. They were not activated, but I have activated/deactivated and I'll see if the problem repeats. I don't get the airbag message.
  3. Hi My 2001 C5 Exclusive Estate HPi has started doing something odd. The headlights come on randomly. I can switch them off by swithing on and off. Is this likely to de electical such as the switch or electronic such as the ECU? Also, my boot lights and the boot suspension height adjucting switch don't work, ever since I tried using LED rear light bulbs.
  4. Thanks for the advice - found my problem this morning and now fixed one side. Couldn't get the spare steel wheel on in place of alloy. ;) It was a brute of a job as the bolts were really gunged up. Took lots of hammering to get them out of the calipers once off the car. Wonderful French engineering!
  5. Hi, Just picked up on this thread having searched for various problems. I have a C5 2001 HPI Exclusive. Not long after I bought it (about 18months ago) I got the dreaded Antipolution Fault, but no probs until it started stopping (?), going down to tickover until shut off and restarted. Eventually took it to Citroen dealer, who diagnosed stuffed fuel pump. £10 I think! Think again. With software upgrades, parts and labour total £679.70. Pump itself £375. Now have had antipolution fault again, which actually started 6 weeks after pump replaced. Got them to check it wasn't the new pump, and they diagnosed EGR knackered. Replacement about £350-400 all up. Told them to get stuffed. Been driving it like that for about 12 months, just a bit sluggish some times, and still get 33-34 mpg. Thanks for info about blocked EGR. I will get it apart this weekend and try that option. Was looking to replace it myself but told parts are about £200 + VAT. Spark plugs, BTW, were quoted at £100 to be replaced. I have a trade card with Halfords, and got a set for £36. I use a long socket with a bit of rubber binged in it to get them out of the deep hole.
