New Citroens come with a 3 year warranty, but your 'bubbling' sounds like a paint defect. New Citroens also come with a 12 year anti-corrosion warranty, subject to an inspection every two years from its fourth anniversary. As your car isn't even 4 years old yet, it wouldn't have undergone its inspection. It may be worth checking if this warranty is transferable. Bubbling from beneath the paintwork sure sounds like a defective paint process to me.

...but the horn is so quiet it shouldn't disturb anyone! Has anyone upgraded the pathetic hooter for airhorns or anything more powerful?

Figures are in Bar, not lb/square inch. Roughly 1 bar = 14.5bs/sq.in Therefore 2.1bar = 30.5lb/sq.in and 2.4bar = about 35 lb/sq.in. 2.7 bar = 39lb/sq.in

Hi Ray and welcome to the forum. We're friendly (mostly) here. I'm a recent convert to the C4 too (from C5 and Xsara Picassos) and so far so good.

Just to let you know that the parrot kit is now fitted and working thanks to a top-notch audio specialist.

Many thanks for your reply Iannez. I visited a specialist vehicle audio fitters late yesterday afternoon who told me more or less exactly the same thing. All being well I'll book the C4 in to be fitted with the Parrot.

I had a Parrot kit (bluetooth device) installed on a Picasso a while ago, which was then successfully reinstalled to anothe Picasso. I then changed from a Picasso to a C5, but the dealer told me that the Parrot kit couldn't be installed in the C5, so it's sat at home in it's box. I'm taking delivery of a new C4 and wondered if anyone knew if i could be installed into it?

I took the 90bhp 1.6HDi. I had the same engine in the 2nd Picasso that I had and got 50mpg mixed driving with it. Should pick it up today or Monday :(

Hello Pete and welcome to the forum. On my 5th Citroen now (3 picassos, 1 C5 now a C4). Nowt wrong with arctic steel - hides the scratches!

Frustrating eh? I'll be having the 1.6HDi 'Cool' model, with digital dual zone air con, auto lights and wipers and alloys, as my C5 exclusive has all of these - and I like my toys. The dual zone I find invaluable as I like to be around 18° whereas my partner like to be >23°. I'll let you know how it goes - meanwhile keep us informed of your choice.

If only Citroen managed to inform the dealers and in turn, the sales staff. You could hand over good money on a car presuming it has essential features for you, only to receive it to a different specification. I'm now having a C4 1.6HDi - cruise control standard throughout the range. They did me a deal I was happy with - always deal at the end of the month!

Hi Lee, All I can quote is what I've seen and heard first hand at the dealership where I've had my 4th Citroen now. Please post and let us know after you've picked up your C3 - if it comes with cruise control then I'll order one myself as originally intended. The reason for removing (so I'm told this morning after a phone call to the dealer again to confirm this is) that the C3 range is to be re-branded shortly, rather like the C1 range: Rhythm, Vibe, etc instead of L, SX, etc. I agree that it seems a backward step.

I've just taken a trip to my local dealership and checked for myself as I am looking to change for a brand new 08 plate model on 1st March. The new Exclusive models DO NOT COME WITH CRUISE CONTROL. Please, before you place your order, double check with the salesman who gave you this information. Note also on the Citroen website car comparison guide, cruise control has disappeared from the guide but appears in some of their other literature.

Thinking of downsizing my C5 and would prefr my next model to have cruise control. The citroen website seems to have conflicting information regarding this piece of equipment and I'm sure that it's no longer fitted as standard equipment in new models. Does anyone know this for certain?

Just checked my trip computer (2.0HDi 138HP 56 plate/06 model Exclusive). The last 4933 miles returned 45.5mpg. That's mixed driving and 'Auto' climate control is ALWAYS on. I'm not complaining at that return. Driving is mostly mixed though. First service (20,000) coming up and a pair of front tyres needed too. Ouch!
