  1. UPDATE I just got my car back from the 1500 mile service and mentioned the waser jets to the garage. The engineer said that citroen did have this fault and that they now have a washer to prevent water leaking onto the injectors. I then showed him under my bonnet where there were obvious signs of water leaking through. He pulled out the washer jet and said showed me the 'replacement rubber washer' that Citroen supply. In his words it was 'Oh thats not going to stop much water' Having seen how easy it was to pop out the washer jets, I got some sillicone sealer on the way home, then popped them out and put some sealer all the way around the bottom (careful not to use too much). For anyone who is planning to keep their car past the warranty period, I would suggest sealing these wholes up to prevent any water dripping onto those expensive injectors. Dont rely on the washers provided by Citroen they are close to useless. Just my two pence worth.
  2. Sorry that was a typing error, I tried it again with the additional 0 yesterday and still no answer. Just tried it today and it was answered, maybe I have chunky fingers??
  3. Mine says its with the AA?? But you cant get through to them, not much assistance..
  4. Has anyone tried the assist number 0800727272. I had to ring them a few weeks ago and the phone just rang and rang. Spoke to my dealer and they said it must be a fault on the line. Tried the number again last night and it was just the same, no answer just rang and rang. Hope we dont need them in emergency !!
  5. Think I'm just going to take them out one weekend and put some silicone underneath to stop the water running back down, seems like the safest bet. Cheers
  6. Ok having read the previous post, I went out and had a look at the jets on my brand new C3. The car is a few weeks old and guess what.. There are no rubber seals between the jets and the bonnet, and worse still there are signs of where the water has already leaked down into the engine.. Should these jets have been replaced and is there a document I can refer to when I take my car in for the 1500 mile service. I also have a sticking accelerator pedal and understand that this was also a recall item. Im just at a bit of a loss as to why these faults should still be there on a new car. If anyone can provide further advice I would be grateful..
  7. I have recently bought my car and noticed that my feet were always getting warm, yesterday I sat in the passenger seat while my wife was driving and again my feet were getting very hot even though there was no heat on. When I felt the pipes at the front of the car in the centre console footwell, they were very hot, the pipes on the drivers side were also very hot. I have auto a/c and it was not switched on, is this normal?? I have never had this on any car before and my last three all have a/c.
  8. Would that be even on a new one? I'll ask them to check it out on the 1500 mile service.
  9. I have the 1.4 SX C3, four weeks old, (manual- petrol) and it is a lovely car, however one thing I have noticed and I wonder if its a common fault or just a problem with my car. When I pull away am speeding up, each time I take my foot of the accelerator and press the clutch to change up the gear, the engine revs very fast as if my foot is still on the gas. The only way around it is to take my foot of the accelerator and pause briefly before pressing the clutch. It feels as if the throttle is sticking or something you can actually see the rev counter go up when you press the clutch pedal in even though I'm not pressing the accelerator. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just a case of spraying the cable with some WD40? Cheers
  10. well I must say that I reviewed the web and had the same misgivings about the C3. However I have recently taken delivery of a brand new 1.4sx and after four weeks all I can say is I'm impressed. Its very quiet and easy to drive and has all the extras you could every wish for. I like the fact that its a little car with a sensible boot so you can still carry all your bits around with ease. And it is an effortless drive weather in town or on the open road. Two small things I think could be changed: 1. The electric window controls are in an arkward place (especially the one for the passenger side)and should be up on the drivers door or somewhere easier to reach while driving. 2. The 1.4 petrol engine lacks that bit of bite at the bottom end and they could do with putting the 16 valve version in a manual rather than auto only option. This is my second French car, first was a Renault Laguna which I had for nine years and did over 120,000 miles of trouble free driving in. Hope I get the same service in this C3.
