  1. We've had to abandon our hopes of having another Citroen because of poor service from Richmond Citroen in Portsmouth....so we now have a Honda Civic 1.7cdti. They lost the sale of 2 cars because they don't do what they say they will. If you live in Portsmouth stay well clear. Thanks for all the help I've had here...off to join the civic forum now! Andy

Ha Ha just you wait until you have to claim. I'm now Citroenless and pennyless! and the complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman is in.
  3. :) Thanks to an accident in North Wales where a load on a tow truck was insecure and crashed into the cars behind, our C3 is about to die.(Thanks to the car not us) Have ordered a newer one though as we love the car....and just wanted to say how helpful this site has been in the past. 4. My engine light came on as I drove it out of the garage!! after having the electrovalve replaced. Its been fine ever since with no reoccurances. Maybe I'm lucky
  5. My problem was an electrovalve,no fault codes showed, a £35 part with one hours labour. Its been fine ever since.
  6. I've driven the car around quite a bit today and its been absolutely fine? back to normal even. So in answer to the delayed turbo problem it was definately the electrovalve. The other problems will possibly surface again. As for having a dealer that spent quite a bit of time on the car and then not charging I can't complain at all. :o
  7. While my C3 has been worked on I've had the pleasure of driving a C1. What a fun car. I've really enjoyed the last few days.
  8. I've calmed down a bit now. Had a long chat with the technician. The turbo is now receiving the correct airflow but it is now spinning too fast and thus sending a fault code. £1200 plus labour for a new one. So I'm hoping to source a cheaper alternative. (Any suggestions greatfully received). The turbo is now cutting in at 2000rpm so that problem is cured. I was only charged for the original work and not for the extra time that was spent on the car, so I was pleaantly surprised. The 2 extra parts were fitted but not needed either. I do think they tried their best and I'll have to see how the car goes. (I still love my C3!)
  9. Further update! Citroen now think its the turbo! Do they really know? Do they care? What a waste of money. I'm absolutely furious
  10. And so it continues.....seems that the part they fitted was not faulty but there could be 2 other parts, one £50 and the other £150. So I'm not happy. Where else can you take something to be repaired, the repairer makes it worse and YOU have to pay. Any idea what my rights are? A trip to trading standards might be in order!
  11. They also said too much air getting into turbo?
  12. The C3 went in Monday. I collected it today and it was the Turbo Electrovalve which had a damaged diaphram. This was replaced, car went fine for 5 minutes then engine management light went on and car lost its power. Drove slowly back to dealer and will report more when I hear. At least I'm getting to play with a C1!
  13. Hi, Due to work committments its booked in with Citroen on Nov 3rd. I'll keep you posted.
  14. Well having had the car checked out, it seems that it could be the turbo? Perhaps I need to take it to a Citroen dealer now  Any ideas how much thats going to cost?
  15. Hi its a 52 reg 1.4 hdi 92 16v. Does that help?
