  1. Glad to hear its more comfortable...........I cant see how you thought my one drove better though :) .....every time i get in the car or put something in the boot it 'farts' at me. My suspension is ten times better now, you felt every pothole, dip, crack, lump, bump, in the road, now many are hardly noticeable and the bad ones are dulled right down. In comparison pre new bushes - yours drove like mine does now. Never noticed any farting? You sure its not putting the driver under strain when lifting the tailgate causing the Anal nerve to discharge gas? Don't try and blame the car!!!! :(
  2. So often with most things its the small things that matter the most.................... When pulling out of a side turning I hate the 'blind spot' created by the 'B' post, (the 'A' post is bad enough). Another thing is using my Tom Tom in the car means I have wires trailing to the Cigarette lighter (i.e round the gearstick) would have preferred it on the dash somewhere myself. In this day and age I think cars could do with 2 or even 3 12v sockets for accessories. There must be more but can't remember at the moment............. <_<
  3. Mine is Dec 04 on a 54 plate = 25k
  4. Since 6 months old / 4k my C4 1.6Hdi (92) SX Hatchback has felt like the suspension on the back was non-existent, every bump in the road it felt like underside was hitting the rubber stops. They replaced the rear Shockers and for awhile it seemed better but no. Reported again to dealer and again New Shockers were ordered as they had new part numbers. Yesterday it went in for the new rear shockers & 25k Service. I am pleased to say my suspension problem is solved! Although they've fitted new shockers my feeling it was the other things thats solved the problem (See below): 2 x Rear Shock Absorbers. 2 x Flexible Joints. Rear Damper Bushes. Rear Subframe Bushes. These Bushes are the offending so & so's!!!!! <_<
  5. You don't get 3 points on your licence a Traffic Officer can however issue a PG9 which prohibits you from moving the vehicle further. You then have to remove the tints there and then or have your vehicle removed by a garage (i.e. total lift). When you remove the tints forward of the 'B' Pillar you then take your vehicle and the PG9 form to a MOT testing station, the MOT examiner will inspect your vehicle if he's satisfied he will issue a PG10 form, you must then take the PG10 form to any Police station who will then update the PNC, this will remove the Information Report on the PNC on your Registration number. If you continue to drive the vehicle after a PG9 has been issued and before the PG10 has been issued you will be arrested. The penalty for driving a vehicle with a PG9 on it is £1,000 max fine or 6 months imprisonment or both!
  6. So C4 VTS isn't your Reg Number then?
  7. Well blow me down! :P Another Friday with nothing to do! :D
  8. Citroën C4 – 2006 World Car Design of the Year Citroën’s popular C4 has been voted 2006 World Car Design of the Year, at the New York International Auto Show, in acknowledgement of the way it has helped to push the established boundaries of innovation and style. From a shortlist of 27 vehicles, the judging panel of The World Car of the Year Awards in Manhattan gave the Citroën C4 top honours, ahead of the BMW 3-Series and the Honda Civic. Key to its success was the innovation that Citroën has displayed in creating a design that enabled two distinct body styles, coupé and 5-door, to be built on the same platform. The model’s aerodynamics, which the Award’s organisers recognised as a traditional cornerstone of Citroën’s character, also played a role. The C4’s interior also captured the imagination of the judging panel with the debut of Citroën’s innovative fixed hub steering wheel. This major International Award complements a long list of accolades that the C4 has already received, including Best hatchback from both Top Gear and Diesel Car magazines as well as British Car of the Year from Auto Express readers. It has also won a brace of awards in the British Insurance Car Security Awards. And this world-beating design is available today in the UK from just £9,695 for the C4 1.4i 16v VT Coupé, thanks to the Company’s current cashback offer, which also provides savings of up to £2,200. 9. My mate has a C4 Coupe (16/06/2005) 1.6hdi and just emailed me to say Citroen just telephoned him to advise him his C4 was recalled for the Cruise Control (Dont know whether it was CUK or his dealer), maybe they rang him rather than sending a letter because his C4 is a Driving School car? Anyone else heard about this recall?
  10. Kfk will probably know how to. I reckon you could run an aux ciggy lighter socket from a permanent live feed in the fuse box? I miss the secondary one on the rear shelf of the Pic.
  11. You sure you haven't disabled the back windows? (Switch on Drivers door disables the rear windows)
  12. I'm surprised someone hasn't mentioned it before - I think its Dealer loyalty that brings most people back, my dealer makes everything easy for me and I'm on my third Citroen car nowt to do with Citroen my choice has been which dealer and my current one wins everytime. My dealers are a family owned business who have been trading through generations since 1955 (I think?) the sort of place where you walk in 3 months after you've bought a car and everyone still remembers your name, the Service Managers been there 30 years and the mechanics / technicians will explain exactly the fault and what they've done to recitfy it. Tradditional values something sadly lacking in some dealers today. The wife had a Saxo, I had a Picasso now I have a C4 1.6Hdi SX H/B, I reckon when I'm fed up with this I may go for a revamped Picasso or a C5 next time who knows what'll be the 'flavour of the month' in 2008?
  13. The Autoglass bloke who changed my Windscreen last Friday week said my screen was cracked due to 'Body flexing' he also showed me a 'misted' area along one crack from the n/s 'A' pillar saying it has caused my screen to 'de-laminate'. My dealer did try CUK but they pointed out the car was 17mts old & 19k so they had a point, I could be arsed with all the arguing for £50..... :(
  14. Yes ask ere'indoors to get it out the boot! lol :(
  15. :P Wicked Red Rules!!!!! :D
