  1. Mark, I'm a techie by trade or should say I was a few years ago and I was certain that it was down to a poorly programmed EPROM in the engine ECU. Closest I could get to a reprogramme was Citroen to upload the lastest software, guess what, it was still crap on fuel consumption. I bit the bullet and bought the Dragon performance box, took about 40 minutes to fit. Oh boy, what a difference it made to the acceleration and fuel consumption on the car. My C8 is on 33K now and I haven't seen the fuel stats go below 34mpg since fitting it. Best £100 I spent on the car ever!!!
  2. Have you had this fixed yet? If not I would recommend you contact Citroen UK about it. Your vehicle is not fit for purpose, see what they say about that.
  3. With the wipers issue you mentioned. I use Rain X on my screen and apply it about once a month or so. I can honestly say that my wipers work perfect now. Before I discovered Rain X I was the same as you, frustrated by the sporadic operation. :) I agree about buying wiper blades from the Citroen dealers, they will charge you about £50.00 for blades that are absolute rubbish. Ebay sell them for around a third of that and they are better quality. If you talk to the technician at the Citroen dealer I think you will find that the rain sensors sensitivity can be changed. But you need the Citroen diagnostic equipment to access the control units and make the changes.
  4. When you lift the bonnet you will see to the right of the engine bay the brake fluid reservoir tucked right at the back. First thing is to remove the jack from the stowage space under the bonnet. To get to the brake fluid reservoir you need to remove the pollen filter box. To remove the pollen filter box you need to remove the two screws holding the filter box to the body. These screws are located at the front of the pollen filter box and at either end. Once the screws are out you need to grab a torch and look down the side of the pollen filter box and locate the four clips holding the box to the body. (long thin arms needed) Unclip these and the pollen filter box should slide forward and you will have access to the brake fluid reservoir. Any other questions, please ask. PS whilst you have the pollen filter box out you may as well change the filter, they cost a few pounds from http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecommerce/Search_Results.asp ,Just don't use the Fram filter. They are rubbish. This filter is about £35 at your Citroen dealer. :)
  5. When I have had things like this happen to my C8 all the Citroen Dealer did was disconnect the main vehicle battery, leave it disconnected for 10 -15 mins and then reconnect. Hey presto! the fault had gone and all was well again for a few weeks. Hope this helps, sorry no one responded sooner. :)
  6. Hi, I had the same issue and spent some time looking at ways to replace the bulbs, I found this to be the only way: http://www.eurovan2.com/forum/eurovan2-gen...ight-bulbs.html Hope it helps!
  7. Thanks for the advice KFK it is much appreciated. Will swap around the wheels when I do the front pads at the weekend. (Weather permitting) Another question I have thought about since posting the first is: My nearside rear tyre is wearing alot faster than my offside rear tyre, it also appears to be feathering on the outer edge. Any ideas what would cause this on the rear?
  8. Does anyone know if you are able to swap wheels around on the C8 Exclusive? The reason I ask is that they have tyre pressure sensors fitted and I know on some vehicles they are programmed in to the specific locations. i.e. NSF must be fitted to the NSF and so on.... I have what I consider to be pretty uneven tyre wear and I would like to even it out by swapping around the wheels. I am pretty well restricted to what location I put the wheels in as they have directional tyres fitted. Any suggestions or help with this would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. Hi all, I recently purchased a Dragon Performance unit for my C8 after many visits to my local Citroen dealer complaining of poor/excessive fuel consumption and crap acceleration. I was only getting 26 MPG on a decent run with 2 adults and 4 kids on board. Fitted the Dragon unit at the weekend and have to say WOW! (Took me 1 hour to fit) Fuel consumption is now up to 35.7 MPG on short trips and the sluggish acceleration has now gone. I got this one from Ebay for £100.00 plus VAT, buy one now you will not regret it. My question is really about your experiences with your C8's, was it just me that had crap fuel consumption and very poor acceleration or is it the whole range that was affected? PS. Anyone know if the latest Clarion USB head units will work with the controls fitted to the C8? Thanks
