thanks Paul. I have read through old posts and found quite a few threads relating to this problem. Most answers were having paid for the job done in main dealers. The manual is pretty vague regards the info I need. Out of interest, could you recommend any of the citroen techies you mentioned that may not mind replying to a personal email with a bit of help? cheers martin

Hi all, I've got this loud machine gun like clicking sound coming from the dashboard ...happens for first 10 secs when first turning on the car from cold. The c3 has the digital climate control fitted. I read through the forum and found suggsetions on threads that its the recirulation stepper motor gear thats probably broken- the noise being the gear trying to open the vent flap ---that makes sense. Apparently this flap can be set to open rather than replacing the expensive motor. I've had the radio and storage compartment out to look inside. Can anyone suggest how I get to the motor/where it is/what I need to remove? any help much appreciated.........its driving me nuts!!
