    Suing Your Dealer

I'm afraid that you ain't got a case! It would appear that your dealer are doing all they can to fix your car - also you are in the minority of people who are disappointed with their car. It is annoying that you've had so many problems, but such is life. Don't waste your time and money trying for a court case - you will undoubtably loose. Hope that cheers ya up! :D
  2. Just mind out if you replace it yourself - my old and new wipers have slightly different attatchments - I got confused, pulled the bit I had to on my old one to get my new one off and broke the hinge. Luckily, you can completely remove the hinge bit on both, and bodge them together! ;)
  3. Mine usually likes to crunch, but mainly between reverse and first (usually from 1st to reverse, sometimes refusing to get into reverse altogether). My solution is to 'double-clutch' it in, usually works.
  4. How'd you manage £35 for tyres? Mine costs £98 for the pair... ;)
  5. Just beneath the door rubber seal - mine's come loose, and there's two small patches where about an inch and a half is starting to brown - it's not too serious, but it begs the question of where else that you can't see is rusting?
  6. Haven't bothered tbh, it's only a light clunk. Next time you sit in your c1 with the engine idle, try it - it's quite quiet, and almost more of a gentle feel... Mind you, I'm getting rust issues (only 6 months old!) so I'll be going back to the dealer anyway.
  7. To be fair, I think that this kind of parking is pretty irresponsible, and destroys the land - but that's not the issue here. The thing of low ground clearance can be a problem. Several times up in Scotland I have hit the road when going over really bad potholes (at very low speeds still), and at one point I dented my wheel strut thing by hitting a concealed rock when I was forced off the road by an aggressive van driver. Also I've found that if you load the back with heavy stuff, you are no longer able to go over any speed humps without a slight scraping noise! How anyone copes once they've fitted lowering springs, I don't know! (was considering it for when the warrenty runs out, but I think I'll leave it for a while yet!) Guess the moral to this story is, use the car where intended - on the road!
  8. Was a bit surprising, but not too bothered really - I rarely drive with anyone after dusk, as I don't often have reason to. I love how basic this car is - all the panels and floor coverings feel really cheap and basic, and beneath the steering wheel you can see the column and everything :) Just a thought, does anyone get a soft clunk noise whenever the clutch is released in neutral with the engine idleing?
  9. If you have a model with Central Locking (i.e. a Rythem), there is a push button that opens the boot, and it locks when the central locking is fired. No other way of locking, but no need for it. Hope this helps!
  10. Hey all, my dad has a diesel C2 about a year or two old. A few days ago, he made a bit of a whoopsie and filled up with petrol instead! Thing is, Citroen are telling him that his fuel tank has been distorted by the fuel, which I don't reckon makes sense... About £100 to empty the tank, or over £800 to replace it? Seems a bit excessive, seeing as he didn't start the engine or anything. Anyone reckon this is legit?
  11. I get a fair few stone chips - I think someone has said the paintwork is very thin, so chips tend to show up easier.
  12. meh, I'm happy with aircon ;)
  13. Shouldn't need to touch the battery for a fair few years unless there's a problem or you've left it standing for a few months... If there's a problem with it, usually best talk to your dealer and get it done under warranty - or at least diagnosed for free.
  14. If you've got 'em hosted on something like Flickr or Photobucket, you can use the tag "](image url)[/img "
  15. Umm.. Raise the suspension? I think the car isn't built for such large wheels I'm afraid... 16" seems to be the sensible limit for a C1.
