  1. Excellent genuine clean March 05 car (05 plate). Standard car but extras include factory fit glass sunroof, reverse sensors and black paint. 42,000 miles. Full Citroen service history (last serviced three weeks ago) PLUS new clutch fitted under warranty at 26,000 miles. £5,900. No offers. Car located in Surbiton, Surrey. For full details email me at: markleigh99@yahoo.com
  2. D'oh! You must have the mini hands. How the heck do you get the n/s lamp assembly?
  3. You were right. Tried to check bulbs myself but didn't have the hands of a two year old - or the skills of a gynaecologist - to get them out. Ended up taking car to a dealer who said you had to remove the bumper to reach the n/s unit. £68 later - two new bulbs :-(
  4. Could be. I hope it's that simple. Thanks
  5. About to set off for a 95 mile drive in the dark when I noticed my headlamps didn't work. High beams fine though. Too dark/fiddly to check fuses so will have to wait to morning. I know there are sep. fuses for each bulb - it seems odd that both fuses would have blown at the same time; or both bulbs. Everyting else is fine. Any ideas??? Thanks Mark
  6. Postscript... Went back to TFL at Wimbledon for the car's 2 yr service. Again, very pleased with the garage. They dealt with two more warranty items - two small oil leaks spotted from the gearbox and head gasket. Very courteous, quick and car valeted. Now for another year's motoring... Mark
  7. Inspection free as well (I hadn't paid in advance for it). All seems well. Car went to TFL in Wimbledon; very pleased with service there.
  8. Car in a garage week for inspection and fitting new clutch - replaced f.o.c under citroen warranty due to manufacturing defect (or similar). Phew!
  9. No - brakes seem fine... (now where's that wood i need to touch...) M PS Am thinking of selling car in spring if anyone's interested - clutch will be resolved one way or another by then. March 2005 Sx Hdi Sensodrive. By then, prob 27k/28k miles Perfect condition. Extras = black paint; electric glass sunroof; rear parking sensors
  10. Booked car in for Jan 7 for inspection. My main dealer Lovekyns in Ewell, Surrey went out of business this month - so am taking it to TFL in Wimbledon. Will keep ypu posted. Mark
  11. No - just the SX 70hp version
  12. Got reply from Citroen in a week. Standard letter - "It's a wearable item blah blah blah blah". I can take it in for an inspection but will have to pay for this whatever the result. Think I'll have to do this as gear take-up is getting worse by the week...
  13. Wrote to Citroen Monday (and emailed them) telling them I wasn't prepared to pay for the new clutch and that failure at this low mileage was either down to bad design or substandard product quality - no reply as yet..... Mark
  14. I rate Sensodrive too - but see my post about the clutch needing replacing after 22,600 miles of long distance driving...
  15. Car began to judder when pulling away so took it in to have it checked last Thursday. Garage recommended software download - which was carried out the next day. Then they reported that the fault was actually the clutch ; needs a new one at £650 approx fitted!!!! - And for a car that's done this low milage since March 05 (used for mainly long runs not town driving). Needless to say, I've written and emailed Citroen for an explanation, citing poor design / substandard quality of the clutch - and asking how they will remedy the situation...
  16. The slide-out tray under the driver's seat looks like it's mis-aligned on one of the runners, so it bounces up and down on the left hand seat runner (causing a incessant rattle). How do I remove the tray completely so I can re-position it on both 'sliders' and put it back correctly? Thanks Mark
  17. Just tried it. It's great - very sensitive too.
  18. Found out what it is; it's the control box and visual display for the reversing sensors. When you select reverse that's where the bleep comes from. Sensodrive great - really pleased with car!
  19. Just took delivery of new C3 Hdi Sensodrive and just above the right hand rear seat, tucked into the ceiling trim, is a black plastic thing like a letter 'T' with small LEDS in in, red and green. It says 'Meta System' on it. No idea what this is - is it something to do with an alarm? I didn't specify an alarm but I wonder if this is fitted anyway as standard - and only connected if you have an alarm... Thanks.
  20. Thanks pork-pie. That's what my dealer said too. Sensodrive is fine - better than I thought (I used to have a couple of Smarts and they were really jerky). Hesitates sometimes when you slow down for a corner and then try to pick up speed - but I guess that's just a (bad) characteristic. Despite this, very pleased so far!
  21. Thanks. Car great. I tried a diesel before I bought it but not a diesel sensodrive - however no regrets. One small thing; when I turn on the ignition there is no pre-heater warning light that you get on most diesels. According to the handbook there should be one that goes off after a few seconds... Will call garage tomorrow to check. Mark
  22. 8.45am as I write this - due to pick up my new C3 SX Hdi Sensodrive at 9.30... Been avidly reading this forum - with some trepidation after some of the tales of woe. So far, dealer has been good - but then again, that's before I've got the damn car. Will let you know how I get on. This is only second new car I've owned; know the depreciation is bad but I wanted a black one with sun roof - and there were none in the country - new or second hand. Fingers' crossed...
  23. Have read various posts about how fitting third party equipment can, in some cases, screw-up car's electronic systems. Considering sat-nav and a cheaper option that doesn't need to be hard-wired is the Tom Tom Go. Any views on this system? Thanks
  24. There's one on Ebay right now. Just type in MODUBOARD to find it. It's used. Starting at £30, but 'Buy Now' for £45 + P/P. Five days left to go. No bids when I looked. Good luck... Mark
